This is not a basic Service Writer / Service Manager position.

This role demands ownership, leadership, follow through, and the ability to drive results in a team based shop.

We need:
+A go getter who thrives in fast paced shop
+Confident leading your team
+Organized, numbers aware, and motivated by performance in setting and completing weekly, monthly and yearly goals.
+Professional, polished and articulate communication skills.
+Automotive experience strongly preferred, but we will value attitude, work ethic and leadership in hiring the right fit for our team.

What you will do:
+Be the face and voice of our shop for our customers.
+Manage the full customer experience from first contact to vehicle delivery.
+Communicate and translate technician inspections into clear, honest, layman friendly recommendations.
+Review digital inspections (photos/videos) and present them to the customer professionally.
+Drive production, sales and workflow while maintaining high quality.
+Help lead the team, keep everyone on track and elevate standards. Always striving to be better.
+Participate in ongoing training and development as requested.

You do not need to be a former technician - we will train the right person.

Our Story

We have proudly served the Frederick and surrounding communities since 1968. We are family owned and operated. Ken’s Automotive & Transmissions has been the “go to place” for transmission service, tires, and full-service general auto repair. Our certified technician’s service all makes and models including foreign, domestic, diesel and sprinter trucks.

Our ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified Technicians provide both automatic and manual transmission repair and services. We understand exactly how important your vehicle is to you. We will be able to diagnose and repair most transmission issues. We use the latest technology and equipment to diagnose and repair your transmission, any major auto repair and this also includes automotive maintenance care.

We take pride in being an active community auto repair shop. We believe in “down home customer service”, but it doesn’t stop there, we also believe in quality work at a fair price! From a basic oil change and other automotive maintenance to Maryland State Inspections, to tires and everywhere in between, our ASE certified technicians offer top-notch total car care. We believe in giving back and support many local school functions, school fundraisers, local food drives, the Middletown Chamber fundraisers such as Francie Billotti 5K run and other causes such as Toys for Tots, breast cancer research, cystic fibrosis research, and many others.

We strive to give our customers the very best possible service available. We offer a 3 year/36K mile warranty on our standard general automotive repair on most vehicles. For our transmission rebuilds and repairs we offer 3year/50K mile warranty for most vehicles.
