Thinking about buying that brand-new model year car? You might want to wait. 🛑🚗

From a mechanic’s perspective, buying a newly redesigned vehicle is one of the riskiest moves you can make. It is not just about the manufacturer working out the mechanical bugs on a new engine or transmission—it is a massive risk for parts availability.

We have a gorgeous 2027 Kia Telluride sitting in the shop right now. It is a highly demanded car (even my wife wants one as a mom-mobile!), but because it is so new, the replacement parts basically do not exist yet.

Here is the brutal reality for this customer:

The car has been sitting unusable for 60 days.

They are still making their monthly loan and insurance payments.

Their insurance rental coverage expired after 30 days, so they are paying for a rental out of pocket.

It got to the point where the car might be considered totaled simply because we cannot get the parts to fix it.

Whether you are buying a personal family vehicle or purchasing new vans for your commercial fleet, downtime is incredibly expensive. Don’t trap yourself in a parts shortage—wait a year or two before buying a brand-new generation!

Happy Labor Day to everyone putting in the hard work all year long. Have a great one, and we’ll see you all tomorrow!

Are you about to buy the wrong model year for your commercial fleet? 🚐📉

When it comes to keeping your business on the road, parts availability is just as important as fuel efficiency.

In this video, we are working on a 2026 Ford Transit with front-end damage. Because this specific body style has been identical since the 2022 model year, replacement parts are everywhere. We literally ordered a radiator core support at 5:00 PM yesterday, and the boxes were sitting in our shop by 2:00 PM today.

Avoid buying the very first year of a brand-new vehicle generation. If you buy a totally redesigned truck and it breaks down, you could get stuck in a massive parts availability crisis, leaving your asset sitting in a lot for months instead of generating revenue.

Buy established models. Get parts instantly. Keep your business moving.

Are you pouring thousands of dollars into a commercial fleet vehicle that is already dead? 💸📉

For a business owner or fleet manager, there is nothing worse than authorizing a massive repair bill on a work vehicle, only for it to break down again next month. It is a complete drain on your revenue.

In this video, we are diagnosing a client’s Subaru that completely lost compression (dropping to a fatal 55 PSI) due to failed piston rings. To get it back on the road, it would require a total engine rebuild or replacement.

But here is where a true fleet partner saves you money: We advised the client NOT to fix it.

The repair cost exceeded the actual value of the car. At Revit Auto, we don’t just turn wrenches and send you a blind invoice. We actively handle your fleet’s Life Cycle Management so you never fall into a money pit.

Before we recommend a major repair, we analyze:

Max Resale Value: Is it time to sell or trade the asset?

Repair vs. Value Ratio: Does the cost to fix it make financial sense for your bottom line?

Remaining Service Life: Will fixing this vehicle actually yield reliable, revenue-generating miles?

Because we track the analytics, this client is confidently retiring the vehicle and replacing it, saving thousands in future repair headaches and downtime.

Stop guessing when to repair and when to replace. We do maintenance, repair, management, and analytics with the Downtime Terminator.

What happens when your commercial fleet vehicle breaks down out of state after 5:00 PM? 🚛🚨

For most businesses, an after-hours breakdown means a massive headache: paying for an expensive tow, putting drivers in a hotel, and losing days of revenue. But when a Washington DC-based fleet truck broke down right outside Fenway Park in Boston, we used our Downtime Terminator platform to solve it instantly.

Here is exactly how we saved this fleet thousands of dollars and days of downtime:

Remote Diagnostics: Using their installed GPS platform, we remotely diagnosed a failed starter.

Rapid Sourcing: We immediately found and hired a local mechanic in Boston to dispatch to the truck.

Creative Logistics: We hired an Uber driver to pick up the required part from a dealership 1.5 hours away and deliver it directly to the mechanic.

The ROI: The entire job was completed for under $1,400. The truck was fixed and returned to the DC area that same night—meaning zero hotel costs, zero wasted driver payroll, and zero lost downtime.

If you are tired of fleet breakdowns costing you a fortune in lost revenue and logistical nightmares, it is time to change your strategy. You should be focusing on growing your business—let Revit Auto manage your fleet.
