Mercedes V Class in at the start of the week with a fault for heater motor not working in the rear of the vehicle.

After being stripped down it was found to be a fault with the motor itself and the resistor. Both parts replaced with genuine Mercedes parts and built back up.

Once all was working the customer asked if we could give the vehicle a check over which we were happy to do.

Afterwards the Mercedes was ready to collect and another happy customer.

Today we had this Land Rover Discovery Sport presented to us with an oil leak. After investigating we found the leak to be from the timing gear cover plug which are a common fault on these vehicles.

We supplied and fitted a new genuine plug from Land Rover before carrying out an oil change as it was due a service at the same time.

After a test drive and no leaks were present anymore, the vehicle was returned to the customer.

We’ve just had this Mercedes V Class from our friends at Gullane Golf Travel. Brought in for a service and carry out some maintenance repairs around their busy schedule.

With company vehicles we understand down time has to be limited and try to the times asked when possible.

With the service carried out, new brakes and a few other bits, the Mercedes was ready to hand back to the customer after being test driven.

Yesterday we had this regular customer pop in with his Volvo XC60 as it was knocking and making a pinging noise on his way to work in the morning.

He asked if we could check out the fault and possibility to repair. It was found that the front coil spring had broke and damaged the strut top mount.

New parts ordered and managed to squeeze it in at the end of the day so the customer could have the vehicle to go home with.

Yesterday we had this Vauxhall Corsa in at the garage for its Mot Test and new tyres.

Vehicle collected in North Berwick for the customer as they were unable to drop it off and collect.

Once the Mot was carried out and the tyres replaced, we returned the car back to North Berwick for another happy customer.

🚨🚨🚨 Head Gasket Replacement 🚨🚨🚨

Last week we had this Vauxhall Mokka in for a head gasket replacement. Over heating, oil mixing with coolant plus coolant and oil l leaks were all issues. Many parts, seals and gaskets were required to take on the repair.

With the cylinder head removed you could see the issue with the head gasket. The cylinder head was sent away for skimming as we replaced parts recruited including the thermostat, oil cooler, water pump, and coolant pipes.

The cylinder head was returned and new head gasket fitted. New head bolts were torqued and timing belt kit fitted.

With the engine full built up with new seals and gaskets, fresh oil and coolant was used. After several test drives the vehicle was returned to the customer who was over the moon with the work carried out.
