Another three Ford wet belts replaced this week ✅

Many modern Fords use a timing belt that runs inside the engine oil. Over time, the belt can deteriorate, shed material into the oil system, block the oil pickup and cause serious engine damage if left too long.

The problem is that there are often very few warning signs before issues start, and by then the repair bill can be significantly higher than a preventative belt replacement.

If your Ford is approaching the recommended replacement interval or just unsure of the service history, it’s worth getting it checked before it becomes an expensive engine repair.

What a performance.

For his first time stepping into the ring, Dillon showed exactly what he’s about — composed, sharp, and full of heart from start to finish. Everything he’s put into this camp showed on the night.

Late opponent change, no complaints, no disruption — just got on with the job and delivered.

We’re massively proud of him. Dillon is a huge part of this gym, always supporting, always helping others, and it’s class to see him get his moment and take it.

Not posted on here for a while but it’s been busy behind the scenes in the garage, here’s a Transit custom in for a wet belt change. The old belt wasn’t too bad but preventing the dreaded belt failure is 🔑

⭐️ We have been quiet with posts recently due to being so busy however here’s a customers car that was in with us during the week

2018 118i came into us with engine management light on and misfire ! After seeing vanos faults stored from our experience we knew it was highly likely the vanos hub bolts would be the issue. As you can see from the photo we were bang on.

All parts bought from bmw, engine timed then vanos bolts replaced with an oil & filter change carried out at the end before resetting adaptions and road test.

No oil pressure warnings on this one, purely wanting it replaced for piece of mind knowing it’s done. Upon removal we could see the belt was badly deteriorated so done just in time

⭐️ We have been completing a lot of wet timing belt replacements recently and thought we would stick an offer on for the whole of June.

- I have listed the common vehicles that have a wet belt fitted. Unlike most older vehicles with a normal timing belt these modern eco engines have the timing belt within the oil of the engine. The belt starts to deteriorate especially when service intervals have been missed or wrong grade of oil used. The belt fragments then block the oil strainer essentially starving the engine of oil causing the oil pressure light to come on

❗️We advise you have the belt replaced before you get the dreaded oil pressure light.
