Has noticed that 6 years and 100K miles has gone by without warranty extension. The Ford Transit Custom 2.0 Ecoblue does not live forever and a worn out timing belt plus wet belt can go without notice. Be on time before it is too late lower your labour hourly rate. If the timing belt plus wet belt breaks it is bad all round.
Example: if a wet belt is older than 6 years, 100K miles plus has broke it has stopped the oil pumping around the engine, this could go without notice. Then the engine has catastrophic failure.
The hourly labour rate is longer.
The repairs are so catastrophic that it is not repairable and a cost of a new same motor is the only solution. That sounds expensive when timing belts plus welt belts are a small percentage of the price than of having to buy a new Ford transit custom 2.0 Ecoblue.
