Keeping those big wheels of J W Grants rolling for another day ✅💪🏻

Unfortunately one of the rear hydraulic legs for the crane has a twist lock to extend the length of the leg - The twist lock was annihilated ☠️

Not to worry we got the old spicy hammer out 🔥 With a bit of skullduggery it was sorted 😏⚒️

New parts ordered and vehicle back out making it delivery’s

Keeping the downtime to a minimum for these busy blue lorry’s 🥳

Another Fix My Truck Online special 🤩🥳😇👨‍🔧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Mighty swede 🇸🇪 🚛…. in need 👨‍🔧🚨

We had been called to this vehicle in Paisley that had been sitting all day unable to select gears ⚙️

A few other firms were called and attended by all said vehicle had to be recovered to the workshop … nonsense 🫠🤥

We attended and assessed the situation, a quick check on the computer confirmed our thoughts 🔩 snappy snappy ⚠️

We got about getting the selector housing off (big naughty oily glassy catwalk made it all the more enjoyable 👀)

Stripped and found the old washers broken up 🙄

Not to worry stripped and rebuilt on the back on the catwalk with primitive tools 🛠️

Refitted and tested and she was pulling like a train 🚛💨

All carried out at the roadside 👨‍🔧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Massive savings on recovery and the downtime he sat waiting all day 😕💸

A wee trip down to The Malcolm Group 🚛🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Another MOT yesterday morning 🌅😎

For our good friends SRL AUTOS LTD 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Their new Iveco is fresh out the box and looks awesome 🤩🚛🚀

Some minor repairs and the tacho calibrated saw this wee beauty through the lane with flying colours 🫡🤙🏻

Adding again to our 100% MOT pass rate spanning over 3 years 🙌🏻🥳😏

Another massive job done and dusted 👨‍🔧🛠️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We were called out to this Almighty Scania vac ex by our good friends PIER UK Ltd 🫡

It was using water and oil in a dramatic fashion 😲

Not to worry we got her back to the workshop and started investigating 🧐

Unfortunately after some digging it was found that the liners were leaking badly

And once stripped it was evident the problem was bigger 🫣
Major components worn and scored

Not to worry they called the professionals and the go ahead was given for a full rebuild 👨‍🔧

We set about removing the engine and stripping her to a bare block 🧰

The block was checked & repaired from previous endeavour

New crankshaft & main bearings

New camshaft & bearings & followers

Liners & piston rings & con rod bolts

Oil coolers & oil pumps

Every gasket on the engine replaced

Water pump , thermostat, clutch , engine mounts

New cylinder heads

The list is almost endless 😅😂

A full bare block rebuild

Engine refitted

Serviced and valve clearances set ✅

She was good for a tune 🎵 and boy do these Scania’s sound crisp 😝😁

A couple of road tests to confirm she’s a minter 😎🤙🏻

And she’s away back to work to earn her keep once more 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼💷

Another breakdown through Fix My Truck Online ✅

This poor Scania was stuck and in need of some assistance

Emissions fault causing some havoc

We arrived on scene and quickly diagnosed as a differential pressure sensor 🛠️

New pressure sensor supplied and codes cleared and tested 😬
