👨🏼‍🔧On this weeks installment (2) of CJ's Conundrums.

You know the jobs a bu**er when the mechanics tag team it... and the makeshift stool comes out.

🛻💦 Leaky Shock Absorbers

Your shocks do more than stop your car bouncing around like a space hopper! They help keep your tyres firmly on the road, improve handling and keep you safe when braking.

If they're leaking, it's time to get them checked- because your car should handle corners, not audition for a bouncy castle!
(pssst its also an MOT fail😳)

⛓TIMING CHAIN CHANGE?

That little rattle isn't your engine trying to start a conversation...

A worn timing chain can turn into a very expensive game of "what just broke?"

I thought this looked liked quite a complicated job on an EP3 Type R, but Keiran's words were, "as easy as an exhaust." So I guess that means he would love to do more??

🛻 Two inlet manifolds.. but what's the difference?

One has clearly had a harder life!

The top manifold is heavily coated in carbon, oil and grime, while the replacement below is clean and ready to do it's job.

The inlet manifold is responsible for distributing air into the engine cylinders. When it becomes clogged or the internal components start sticking, airflow can be restricted and you can end up with poor performance, rough running, loss of power and increased fuel consumption.

Basically.. your engine needs to breathe, and this one was definitely struggling for air! 😅
