Please note that CJ Autos are going on tour, the garage will be closed for one week from the 7th of September.

🛻💨 EGR FILTERS... you should be able to see through this!

Your EGR system helps recirculate exhaust gases back through the engine to reduce harmful emissions🌱

But over time, soot and carbon can build up, causing EGR filter/system to become clogged.

⚠Symptoms can include:
-Loss of power
-Poor acceleration
-Increased fuel consumption
-Rough running
-Engine management light
-Limp mode

Ignore it for too long and that little blockage can turn into a much bigger (and more expensive) headache.

⏰TIMING BELT

Can you spot what's happened?

Your timing belt might not look like the most exciting part of your engine... but trust us, you REALLY want it doing it's job!😅

It keeps the engine components working together at the right time. If it becomes worn, cracked, damaged or snaps, things can go from bad to worse. And, depending on the engine, a snapped belt can cause serious internal engine damage- bent valves, damaged pistons and potentially a very expensive repair bill.

If you don't know when yours was last changed, it might be worth finding out before your timing belt decides to choose it's own retirement date!🤣😅

Prevention is always cheaper than an engine rebuild!
