Californiaā€™s new Replacement Tire Efficiency Program (RTEP) aims to bridge the gap between factory-installed tires and less efficient replacement models. By setting minimum energy efficiency standards for replacement tires, the law reduces rolling resistance to help drivers stretch their mileage.

This standard would unfortunately leave a great majority of current model performance rated tires in the dust.

Are the manufacturers listening?? At what cost would this program impact the average vehicle owning citizen in Santa Monica??

No matter how many times, or how much money you spend on recharging your AC system, an undiscovered leak will stop the cold air from blowing on hot days, when you need it the most!

Our newest investment is a different leak detection tool that goes beyond the use of dyes and UV light to locate and isolate pesky AC leaks.

Our Technician found the leak in this vehicle, which was located in a spot requiring great effort to accessā€¦ and probably why the other shops (including a dealership!) only recharged the system, not fixing it.

Now that weā€™ve replaced the compromised unit, the owner will enjoy frosty cold air on hot days for MANY years to come, not just one season!

Our Team managed to take a couple hours of R&Rā€¦ ā€œremoveā€ from the shop, and ā€œrechargeā€ the spirit of Joy!

Special thanks to Topgolf El Segundo for a wonderfully coordinated event for our little auto shop ā˜ŗļø!
