45 years ago Peter Rajna stepped away from his dealership job and opened BVA at 1522 Broadway, calling this business “The ultimate alternative”. Within 10 years both Manny and Lee had joined the company, and along with the help of exceptional mechanics and office staff we built a business that lives up to that slogan. The true key to that achievement has been the amazing relationships that we developed with our customers, like you.
Together with our extended family of customers and staff we have navigated through booms and bubble bursts, through recessions, earthquakes, unrest and most recently the pandemic and its consequences. We have watched families start and grow. We have seen careers succeed, and careers change – for customers and employees. From our start as a two man shop BVA has grown as well, and we have seen our work change from carburetors, to fuel injection, and now hybrids. The constant has been our relationship with you, and the support we have received from you has been truly awesome and inspiring. This business has always been special to us, and you have shown us how special it has become to you. You have rewarded us with your trust and friendship - and we are truly grateful.
Now, as we have lost our lease on the Broadway property, the time has come for us to close. BVA stopped working on cars on September 15th. We hoped to thank as many people as possible in person for their support. A large group did join us for a special thank you event sponsored by our good friend Sherrill Kushner, on Friday September 16th. More about that later.
Finally, on behalf of our current crew- Cecilia Escobedo, Raul Santos Nick Eisaeian, and Raul Pinedo, we again thank you. We hope to continue to support you to the best of our ability after we close, so please stay in touch.
