October is Subaru Loves Pets Month.

Every October, Subaru retailers partner with local animal welfare organizations to help shelter pets find homes. Subaru is the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA, and since 2008 that partnership has supported the rescue, transport, care, and adoption of nearly 250,000 animals.

Across the wider Subaru Loves Pets initiative, more than 70 million dollars has gone to pet focused organizations and over 700,000 animals have been helped.

Why does a Subaru feel planted when the road turns wet, sandy, or steep? It starts with the engine.

The SUBARU BOXER® engine lays its cylinders flat and facing each other, which lets the whole engine sit lower in the car. Lower engine, lower center of gravity, better balance through a corner.
