Our client came to us with a check engine light, bucking, and general lack of power. We took a look into the issue by first scanning for codes and finding some turbo boost sensor codes along with air meter codes. These particular codes were very much the age old story of what came first the chicken or the egg, as both could create false coding, to trigger another code from inaccurate readings. Once we got our eyes on the mass air flow sensor and found that someone had rigged it together with rtv to glue the connector on, this bending a terminal over in the sensor, we knew that a MAF replacement was warranted to correct the issue. Once installed our air intake readings were producing correct value and the engine instantly started to run better.
