Gearstar Performance Transmissions Gearstar Performance Transmissions in Akron Oh manufactures world-class, high-performance transmissions & Converters custom built to exact specifications.

Gearstar Performance Transmissions remanufactures high-performance automatic transmissions built by the industry's top expert technicians. using the best performance parts available. In order to maintain consistency and quality during the building process, each transmission is handled by a single builder from start to finish. And is put through rigorous qualification and inspection process. Each transmission and converter are dyno-tested the equivalent of 100 mph on the street where we check hydraulic pressures, temperatures, shift quality, converter stall and lock-up. We make sure all shift points are at the correct RPM. When you receive your transmission and converter package, you can be sure it is functioning perfectly . Whether it is a Turbo 350 going behind a mild small block or a 4L85E built for a C5R blown LSX, the same expert technicians will be working on either package. At Gearstar, we approach each project as if it was going into our own car or truck.

Had the chance to catch up with Mikey from Driven Speed Shop in the winners area today at the Triple Crown of Rodding. This is a custom 1/1 Intetnational Scout powered by a Wegner Automotive and of course a Whipple Superchargers and sitting on a Roadster Shop RS4 chassis. We backed it with our 4L80E and a custom billet Yank Performance Converters. Paired up to an Atlas transfer case.

How can we help you on your next build?
