Sometimes, a second opinion is good idea.

This customer came in because another facility told her she needed front pads and rotors.

We offered a complimentary brake inspection and brought the vehicle in, she had no complaints of noise or pulsations.

Upon inspection, she didn’t need any brake work for at least another 6-10,000 miles, she had 6mm of brake pad life left and almost no scoring, rusting or glazing on the rotors. She came in expecting to have to spend hundreds of dollars on brakes, but she left spending $0 and having a much better weekend!
