🛞 DAY 2 OF TYRE SAFETY MONTH… AND THEY KEEP COMING! 😳

Yesterday we showed you some of the dangerous tyres we’d removed after just 2½ hours of opening.

Well… Day 2 hasn’t been much better! 👀

These are more tyres removed from vehicles at HiQ Preston today. Severe uneven wear, tyres worn smooth on the edges and tread that has simply gone too far.

⚠️ The worrying part? You might not always see this wear just by looking at the outside of your tyre.

That’s why throughout October – Tyre Safety Month – we’re offering FREE TYRE & BRAKE CHECKS at HiQ Preston.

🔵 No appointment necessary
🔵 Tyre condition & tread checked
🔵 Pressures checked
🔵 Uneven wear checked
🔵 Brake check
🔵 Completely FREE

A few minutes checking your tyres could identify a problem before it becomes dangerous or leaves you stranded.

⚠️ TYRE SAFETY MONTH HAS DEFINITELY KICKED OFF AT HiQ PRESTON! ⚠️

We’ve only been open 2½ hours today and we’ve already removed and replaced these tyres from customers’ vehicles. 😳🛞

The photos speak for themselves — bald tread, severe cracking, uneven wear and damaged tyres. Some of these were well past the point where they should have been replaced.

October is Tyre Safety Month, and this is exactly why regular tyre checks are so important. Your tyres are the only part of your vehicle in contact with the road, so don’t wait until they look like these.

✅ Tread depth checked
✅ Tyre pressures checked
✅ Condition & damage checked
✅ Uneven wear checked
✅ Brakes checked
✅ No obligation

They are looking for donations and potential sponsors for events/activities they will be doing to raise as much money for the club possible. If you can help with donations please see the link if you are wanting to sponsor then please get in touch. Last year they came 3rd in the competition this year we believe they can win it 🙌🏻 The HiQ Preston team a right behind you 🙌🏻

https://www.cashforkidsgive.co.uk/campaign/sports-challenge-lancashire/fundraisers/grimsargh-village-fc/

Today is launch day for the Cash For Kids Lancashire challenge. We have set a target to raise £10k and I do believe it is possible with all the players/parents we have within the team. We also have plans to have a sponsored run and we also have the Halloween charity party on the 16th October. If you could all spread the poster on Facebook and get as much attention as possible and hopefully donations that would be fantastic. Once the date has been sorted for the run it will be posted on here. Let’s smash it this year everyone 🙌🏻 Last year we came 3rd this year I believe we can win. If we can get the £10k and also win we will have a total of £15k to spend on the team and the plan is to get all teams a Veo cam or Xbot so we can get all our games filmed and work on our tactics to improve. We are also wanting to get the best training equipment we can which will also help the teams. So GVFC family let’s go 🙌🏻🙌🏻

DID YOU KNOW? 52% of UK drivers aged 17-24 don't realise they're legally responsible for the condition of the tyres on any vehicle they drive, even if they don't own it.

Borrowing a car doesn't mean borrowing someone else's responsibility. Before every journey, make sure your tyres are safe and legal.
