As autumn closes in it is worth checking your tyres. Is the tread depth is well above the legal UK minimum of 1.6mm—experts recommend at least 3mm for wet autumn roads. Remember that tyres lose pressure as temperatures drop (about 1–2 PSI for every 5°C drop), so reinflate them to the manufacturer's recommended levels.
