Dear all,
The past 30 years has seen the Fenman Classic Bike Show at Wimbotsham grow steadily from its first inception of just a few local bikes, to the last show two years ago which saw hundreds of motorcyclists attend.
Each event has seen local charities benefit with over £130k being donated.
Unfortunately and with great disappointment to many, the Fenman Classic Bike Show will be cancelled for 2022.
Like a good many of us, life has changed with present events, including the committee members
who have found it difficult to continue either through age or health reasons.
Also those who formed the Fenman committee have found the commitment to organisation the event , takes up a great deal of peoples free time, not actually only on the day but the whole August bank holiday weekend and many days during the year.
Too many members of the committee have not been able to give their support (for various personal reasons) to the show to build a strong enough team needed to put on thIs annual event. To ensure a safe, and successful event, over 30 people are needed!
As chairman I’m not sure what the future holds for the “Fenman “ but want to sincerely thank those who have been a part of this journey and to all who have enjoyed the day.
The event may return one day, but not in its current format.

🏍. It is with great sadness that the “Fenman”recognise the passing of Peter Cotterell 14/02/2021 The photo shows him enjoying his life long passion .
The Fenman was very grateful to Peter for many years service as a Judge on all categories of classic motorcycle.
His experience and knowledge was freely given which is typical of the character that runs the Fenman Classic Bike show.
Our love and deepest sympathies to his family and friends. 🏍

I think this year has seen a few old Fenman not make it to our show . Hopefully see you all next year 🏍

Hi,
I'm trying to organise a bike es**rt for my dad's upcoming funeral.
You may remember my dad (Michael Baker) as we used to come along to your quiz nights.
Sadly, my dad lost his fight against cancer on Friday the 21st.
Would it be possible to share the info at your Bike meet on the 28th please?
Dad was so looking forward to the Fenman & had bought the tshirt he was planning to wear.
Sadly covid & cancer intervened.
It would be lovely if we could bring a little of fenman to my dad, on his final journey.
