& H Harrod Coaches was founded by Mr. In its early days, the business operated with just a single vehicle, offering trips to darts and dominoes matches, church outings, and group excursions to London. One of only a handful of female coach drivers in Norfolk at the time, Dolly learned to drive and took over the business. Under her leadership, the fleet grew to eight coaches before she retired in the 1990s. Now based in Downham Market (since 2005), after many years in Wormegay, the business remains proudly run by the Harrod family. They continue to uphold the traditional values set by Herman and Dolly — honesty, reliability, and customer care — while using modern methods to deliver safe, comfortable, and efficient travel across the UK and Europe.
