Mechanic To You Hobart

18/10/2026

We could get AI to write a fancy post telling you why you should service your car with us…
It would probably say something like:
“At Mechanic To You, we are committed to delivering an unparalleled automotive experience through our dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction.”

Yeah… nah.

We’re a family-owned and operated local business, so we’d rather just tell you how it is.
Your car needs a service?

We come to you.

You deal directly with us — not a call centre or a big corporate office.
We genuinely care about the people and businesses we work with.
And we’ll look after your car like we’d want someone to look after ours.

We’re not trying to be fancy. We’re just a local family doing what we love, looking after our customers and keeping Hobart moving.

So skip the AI-generated automotive waffle.
Give your local family-owned mobile mechanic a call.

Let's be real for a second -

Have you ever left your Mechanic feeling ripped off? Taken advantage of? Or like you've experienced some form of selective amnesia over a certain conversation that should have happened? Because when you dropped your car off for a routine service and you went back to pick up they slide you an invoice that costs x10 more than you initially thought?

We're not about that.

Welcome to Mechanic to You.

We’re just trying to be the mechanic you can trust.

As a family-owned and operated local business, we know how important it is to feel comfortable handing your car over to someone.

We know everyone has a budget, and we’ll always do our best to give you options and explain what’s important, what can wait, and what needs attention.

We’re not here to sell you things you don’t need. We’re here to look after your car properly.
Because for us, being a good mechanic isn't just about fixing cars.

It’s about building trust, looking after our local community and having customers who are happy to call us again next time their car needs some TLC.

That’s the kind of mechanic service we think you deserve.

🎉 WE MADE IT… ONE WHOLE YEAR! 🎉
Somehow, we’ve survived a whole year in business… with only a few headaches, a lot of coffee and a few moments questioning our sanity.

We’ve met some fantastic people, fixed a few questionable noises, diagnosed plenty of “it only does it sometimes” problems, and probably heard “while you’re here…” more times than we can count!

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us, booked with us, recommended us or simply shared our name around. Every bit of support means the world to a small local business like ours, we couldn't have done it without you!

Here’s to another year of keeping Hobart moving — one vehicle (and one interesting problem) at a time!

Did you know that when you call us, this guy won’t answer? You won’t be speaking to someone in a call centre, or be left explaining your problem to someone who’s never worked on a car before either.

Instead, you'll speak directly with the local owner — the person who'll actually be working on your vehicle. No middlemen, no scripts and no "please hold while I transfer you."
Just honest advice, real conversations, and good old-fashioned local service.

As for our furry staff member, his duties include:
🐾 Site supervisor
🐾 Supervising snack breaks
🐾 Looking adorable in company photos
🐾 Contributing absolutely nothing to vehicle repairs

Local service. Direct communication. Just real people helping real people.
Give us a call and chat directly with your local mobile mechanic — the human one, not the dog. He's only qualified in being extra cute.

No dogs were exploited in the making of this advertisement. Our furry employee is a professional dog actor, fully compensated for his time and talent with a generous amount of treats, pats, and several unauthorised naps on company time. No paws were overworked during this photoshoot.

We could tell you how good we are…
…but that feels a bit like marking your own homework. So we’ll let our customers do the talking instead.

All jokes aside — this is why we do what we do.
No waiting rooms, no upsells, … just honest work, done properly, wherever you are.

Big thanks to everyone who’s booked in, recommended us, or taken the time to leave a review — you’re the reason we’re run off our feet (and we wouldn’t have it any other way).
If your car’s making a weird noise… ignoring it won’t fix it (we checked).

We’re usually here talking cars and keeping you on the road… but this one’s a bit closer to home ❤️

Family means everything to us — it’s why we do what we do and what gets us up every day.

Right now, a family close to us is going through something no parent should ever have to face — their child has been diagnosed with cancer. On top of the heartbreak, they’re now facing the emotional and financial pressure that comes with ongoing treatment, time away from work, and everything in between. It’s a weight no family should have to carry.

If you’re able to support them in any way — sharing, donating, or simply sending some love — it would mean the world.
Thank you for always showing up for others when it matters most 🤍

Wow… what a 6 months it’s been!

We just want to say a big thank you to all of our awesome customers — the last 6 months have been unreal and we really appreciate the support 🙌

We’ve really felt the love — from your recommendations, shares, likes and loyalty — and it means the world to us.

We’ve now hit capacity before Easter, so any last-minute bookings aren’t available (no matter how much we try to shuffle things around!).

We’re still taking bookings as normal, they’ll just be scheduled for after the Easter break.

Thanks again for keeping us flat out — we honestly wouldn’t have it any other way! 🔧🐣 Drive safe if you’re hitting the road this Easter.

Just a little reminder this time of year — when you book with us, you’re supporting a local family business.

Every booking, like, and share makes a real difference. Thanks for keeping it local, legends!
