Porsche just built a real-life "Moby Dick" tribute, and it's road legal.
Meet the Flachbau RS: a one-off Sonderwunsch project built on a 991.2 911 GT2 RS with Weissach Package. Nearly three years in the making with Manthey, Style Porsche, and Weissach engineers, this thing reinterprets the legendary 935/78 Flachbau look with slatted front fenders, staggered LED headlights, and a GT3 R Rennsport-inspired rear wing that's manually adjustable for downforce.
Grand Prix White paint, exposed carbon, matte black accents, and a stripped interior that ditched the PCM and audio system entirely for weight savings. Even the wiring harness is left exposed, race car style.
Powertrain stayed untouched at the customer's request. Everything else? Reimagined.
This is what happens when you give Sonderwunsch a blank check and a Le Mans legend as inspiration.

473hp. 390lb-ft. 6 speeds. 0 pedals for your left foot to complain about. The 2027 911 Carrera S MT Package just dropped, and it's the first S model ever with a manual. Oh, and centerlocks too. Another first for the S. Coupe or Cabriolet. Debuting at Monterey Car Week tomorrow.
Real talk: is a 3-pedal 911 always the better 911, or does PDK still win the argument for you?

That switch on the console. The one that wakes the exhaust up. If your 981 Boxster or Cayman didn't come with PSE from the factory, we finally have the complete genuine kit back in stock: mufflers, wiring, and the switch itself. Comfort mode for the commute, Sport mode for when the road opens up.
Hard to find. Worth the wait.
