Keep those fluids checked peeps! The heat is brutal and fluids keep things cool and running! Also a good idea to park under any available shade to help the A/C cool the interior down a lot faster than when it is parked under direct sun. Drive safe!

If you happen to be driving where it is colder than it is here, and your heater suddenly quits working, get to your nearest stopping point, let it cool down, and check the coolant! Chances are, it is really low! Had a customer that experienced this and found out that it was 2 gallons low on coolant! That's more than most cars hold altogether!

Keep a car full of fluids and it’ll last a long time let a car go low on fluids and the little red “oil can” lite is like a little hand waving goodbye. Oil and coolant are the two most important fluids by far. And the coolant needs to be checked in the actual radiator not just the overflow tank for those cars that have a cap on the radiator, because the overflow tank can be full to overflowing and the radiator can be bone dry at the same time.

Cmon people, why don't these chain stores get it that an oil change AUTOMATICALLY comes with a new oil filter??? Seriously?

Swift Auto Repair’s “not so swift” auto repair tips!

Go to squeaky belt? Well there’s probably a chance it might need to be replaced but in the meantime if you’re at all handy with kitty litter, if you open the hood and while the engine is running (keep your hands and feet back from the angry belt) and sprinkle several handfuls of some (preferably new) kitty litter onto the belt (again while it’s running) Caution, for those of you who have never aired up a bicycle tire, you better wear goggles! The litter will be flying all around like a mad kitty in a water gun squirting contest, but it should a roughen up the the pulleys that are causing the squeak and put a Band-Aid on it for a little while. But please don’t put it off because that turns people a little road ragey and you’ll wonder why they’re trying to get away from you

We love our customers and would like your opinion on a building paint color scheme. It is an old building but still solid!!! Even if you are not a current customer, we would love your input!!!

If your window is down and refuses to go up, try pulling up on the window while having someone push the switch in the up direction. If you can move the window chances are the regulator is broken. If you can't move the window, and it doesn't make any noise whatsoever, then have someone that can find the little motor armature in the door tap on it with a long screwdriver and it just might bring it to life enough to get the window up. It is usually visible when peeking between the inside door panel and the window and tapping on it re connects the worn out brushes. It is the part where the wires go into in the picture and is usually black or silver. The same tip applies to a fuel pump that quits working only it requires bumping a sledge hammer against the bottom center of the gas tank while someone cranks the vehicle. Make sure the vehicle is in park and that the hammer has no sharp edges. Hope this helps someone. Be careful.

We here in Florida are currently dealing with trees burping leaves and green pollen along with the 80 degree weather. Our burden to bear lol. Ever try breathing through a piece of paper? If your car sits outside at any time while the leaves are falling, that’s what you are making your car’s interior heating and cooling system do. Please open the hood and shovel out all of the tree droppings that are clogging up the passageway that your interior fan breathes through. If you let the leaves and debris go long enough it will decay, get through the squares, and either plug up your cabin air filter, or get into your blower motor and then through the vents. It doesn’t take much time to make your car last longer. Do it several times while the pollen is flyin and the leaves are droppin. Just sayin an ounce of prevention is worth a bunch of cure. Photos are before and after then a cabin filter influenced by a rodent munching on stuff. Hth!

Overheated? You can try adding coolant to the overflow tank but the radiator might still be dry! The gauge might even say that everything is good but it won't be accurate at all when it is low on coolant. Make sure that the actual radiator has coolant in it especially if it has two caps, one on the radiator and one on the overflow tank. Make good and sure that the vehicle is cooled off before opening the actual radiator cap! Save that engine! It needs coolant (or even plain water will work) to survive! Coolant and oil is the engines lifeblood! They are even more important than gas! Drive fast :)
