WOW! What a blast from the past. 93 years ago in what I'll dub a classic C class! Look how much it's changed over the years and on the same token, some things never change!

EDIT: Upon Further research, this was a modification made at some time in the 70's😅 silly me. Still looks like a great camper!

1931 Ford Model AA Camper

Ford's Model AA represented the company's heavy-duty commercial truck platform, built on a chassis designed to handle substantial loads and challenging work environments. The Model AA featured a longer wheelbase and reinforced frame compared to the standard Model A passenger cars, making it ideal for commercial applications ranging from delivery trucks to fire engines.

Power came from Ford's proven 200.5 cubic-inch four-cylinder engine, producing around 40 horsepower through a three-speed manual transmission. The twin rear wheels provided additional load capacity and stability under heavy use.

This particular vehicle showcases an interesting post-production transformation into a recreational camper, complete with enclosed living quarters, kitchenette facilities, and convertible seating arrangements. An extending roof system provides additional interior space and ventilation and the conversion suggests the growing popularity of automotive camping during the mid-20th century.

Such modifications demonstrate the versatility of Ford's commercial chassis and the ingenuity of owners who adapted these sturdy trucks for leisure use, creating unique rolling homes for touring and outdoor adventures.

Good afternoon folks!
Just wanted to share the results from National Pie Day and, I would say the recipe is a resounding success!

The only tweak I could possibly add would be to cover it in foil first then brush more of the glazing on it before letting it finish baking uncovered! Tasted fantastic as is, I just like my apples as tender as possible!

Happy Monday to all and I hope it's a good week for everyone!

I'll include a link to the post with recipe!

It's national pie day! So I think it would be fitting to share a recipe with all! This for a timelessly delicious old fashioned apple pie.
Ingredients:
8 small Granny Smith apples, or as needed
½ cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
½ cup white sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup water
1 (9 inch) double-crust pie pastry, thawed
I'm not talented enough to make pie crust from scratch but I'm sure many out there are!
Step 1
Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Peel and core apples, then thinly slice. Set aside.
Step 2
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and stir to form a paste; cook until fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add both sugars and water; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Step 3
Press one pastry into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Roll out remaining pastry so it will overhang the pie by about 1/2 inch. Cut pastry into eight 1-inch strips.
Step 4
Place sliced apples into the bottom crust, forming a slight mound. Lay four pastry strips vertically and evenly spaced over apples, using longer strips in the center and shorter strips at the edges.
Step 5
Make a lattice crust: Fold the first and third strips all the way back so they're almost falling off the pie. Lay one of the unused strips perpendicularly over the second and fourth strips, then unfold the first and third strips back into their original position.
Step 6
Fold the second and fourth vertical strips back. Lay one of the three unused strips perpendicularly over top. Unfold the second and fourth strips back into their original position. Repeat Steps 6 and 7 to weave in the last two strips of pastry. Fold and trim excess dough at the edges as necessary, and pinch to secure.
Step 7
Slowly and gently pour sugar-butter mixture over lattice crust, making sure it seeps over sliced apples. Brush some onto lattice, but make sure it doesn't run off the sides.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking until apples are soft, 35 to 45 minutes.
Step 9
Serve and Enjoy!

Snapped these photos of the lot before closing up yesterday, cold cold day but what a gorgeous sunset! Now imagine the sunsets you could see from the comfort of an RV!

We have some snazzy brand new No Boundaries travel trailers that can go anywhere you can haul them! I can recommend the 16.1 series, lightweight, compact and self contained!

Smallest trailer I've seen to have a separate lavatory and shower! Take a look and see!
