Normally this is something we wouldn't post but with the Holiday of Love upon us tomorrow, allow me to share a story of how love doesn't die.

We got a C-Class motorhome in from an auction, inside we found the cremated remains of a pet and some other personal effects. So we started looking through the unit for a name, maybe a phone number. Through the power of the internet we got a number, on the other end of the line an older couple who thought their beloved pet was gone forever. It had been two months since they sold the unit and assumed he was gone forever.

Well I'm very happy to report Rory is safely wrapped and packed with bubble wrap, and will be reunited with two people that miss and love him even now.
They were also kind enough to send me a photo of the handsome fella.

With impending cold weather, I thought it prudent to share some helpful information with one and all. Simple and effective ways to protect your RV, and more importantly, protect you from extreme cold while in your RV

•Layer your insulation for maximum warmth:
Simple additions like foam tiles, Reflectix, rugs, and draft blockers can drastically cut down on heat loss through floors, windows, and slideouts.

•Protect your RV’s plumbing before temps drop:
Disconnect external hoses, switch to your onboard tank during freezes, and only dump tanks when necessary to avoid costly damage.

•Warm the spaces you actually use:
Curtains, small partitions, and heated bedding help you heat smarter by creating cozy, efficient heat zones.

•Stay ahead of winter moisture:
Use proper ventilation and consider supplemental heat sources like diesel heaters to control condensation from cooking, showering, and furnace cycling.

So with these in mind, and a little work, this should help mitigate the effects of a severe temp drop!
