“By mixing a little truth with it they had made their lie far stronger.” ~ C. S. Lewis
There's a reason this quote comes to mind when I see some of the marketing surrounding ceramic coatings.
Start with something true: ceramic coatings can offer real benefits. They can enhance gloss thru refraction, make maintenance significantly easier, and provide a long term durable layer of surface tension reduction.
Then stretch that truth a little.
Suggest it prevents scratches. Hint that rock chips are less of a concern. Make it sound as though a coating can overcome poor care, less than stellar preparation, improper installation temperatures, or the laws of physics.
Before long, a legitimate product has become the foundation for a pretty impressive pile of 🐂💩. The problem isn't ceramic coatings. The problem is what people are being led to believe about them.
This Ford Bronco Raptor just went through our paint correction and ceramic coating process. Real work, real preparation, and realistic expectations. New Vehicle, 3 days of hard work and 1 day initial cure time...4 day turnaround with NO miracle claims required.
We believe customers deserve to know what they're paying for, what it can accomplish, and where its limitations are. That might not make for the flashiest sales pitch in the industry. We're perfectly comfortable with that...we just have to tighten our belt a notch from time to time.😅
We'd rather earn someone's trust by telling them the truth than earn their money by telling them what they want to hear.
