ATTENTION WINTERSET RESIDENTS AND GUESTS:

Please, SLOW DOWN to 10 MPH throughout the community!

We have a beautiful pair of resident sandhill cranes in the park, and one of them was almost run over by a speeding vehicle. These birds are part of our community wildlife, and they move slowly—they cannot easily dodge a speeding car.

The Park Speed Limit is 10 MPH at all times.

Keep your eyes on the road and watch for wildlife, pedestrians, and golf carts.

Please remind your guests and delivery drivers to strictly adhere to the speed limit.

Let's look out for one another and keep our community safe for everyone—including our feathered neighbors! Thank you for your immediate cooperation.

Big changes on the way??? Maybe!!
The Euro AI is EXTREMELY aggressive showing a wet pattern into early June.

This isn't rainy season rain. This is low(er) pressure in the Gulf and a ton of moisture.

Not necessarily an organized system, but not completely out of the question. Either way, if it's right, Florida sees a lot of rain beginning next weekend.

This map is total rainfall through early June as forecast by the Euro AI. For the record, it's one of the best models out there.

Time will tell. Fingers crossed.
