Milton who? Power has been restored and the roads inside the park are cleared. Spectrum is still out, but so thankful for our linemen, P&C Expert Tree Services, and our helpful Lazy Oaks residents.

People were asking about pet-friendly shelters. I previously posted a list of the limited sites which would take your pets. I’m very happy to report that I’ve now deleted that post.

*ALL* Manatee County emergency shelters will be pet-friendly for the duration of Hurricane Milton. 🐶🐱

The following schools have opened as emergency shelters (as of 4:50pm Mon):

➡ Myakka Elementary School, 37205 Manatee Ave., Myakka City
➡ W D Sugg Middle School, 5602 38th Ave. W., Bradenton
➡ Barbara A. Harvey Elementary School, 8610 115th Ave. E., Parrish
➡ B D Gullett Elementary School, 12125 44th Ave. E., Bradenton
➡ Gilbert W McNeal Elementary School, 6325 Lorraine Rd., Lakewood Ranch
➡ Dr. Mona Jain Middle School, 12205 44th Ave. E., Bradenton
➡️ Lee Middle School, 4000 53rd Ave W, Bradenton

Levels A & B: you’re up. Evacuations orders issued as of 2pm tomorrow (Monday). Please, please listen to these evacuations. We’re all hoping for the best but, until we see otherwise, we have to prepare for the worst.

Your safety and the safety of your family members is way more important than your “stuff”. The safety of our first responders is also way more important to us than your stuff.
