Smackdown night one is in the books, 50 cars signed in and Landon went 39th quick in qualifying which for the 1st night with the stout competition we were ok with how it went. Started 8th in the heat race finished 8th I think. During the heat the engine was loosing oil pressure so we opted to call it a night and come back to the shop and put our pavement motor in the car and we are ready to go for night #2.
Thank you to everyone that has stepped up to help us this week in one way or another, everything is greatly appreciated.

Night 1 at Kokomo Speedway!

Landon Butler is making his USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car debut tonight at Kokomo Speedway.

Butler is latest in the famed lineage of racers from Florida, following in the footsteps of grandfather Stan Butler, uncle Keith Butler, and father Shane Butler.

Landon finished 18th here at Kokomo back in April of this year.

LBR had a great Father’s Day weekend at the racetrack the American Sprint Car Tour. We started out Friday night at Hartford Speedway in Michigan 17 cars signed in and Landon went 4th quick overall started 2nd in the heat and finished 2nd. Drew the 1 spot to start the feature and lead from Green to Checkered for the win.
Saturday night we moved on to ShadyHill speedway in Medairyville Indiana and once again went 4th quick overall. Started 2nd in the heat and finished 2nd. He drew the 4th starting spot for the feature and quickly moved to 2nd and on the 3rd lap inherited the lead when the leader broke and lead every lap from there on to the finish. Then Sunday was canceled early due to weather, We will take this weekend off to try and get the 410 back together and hopefully make it to Kokomo Speedway for July 3rd.

We brought Landon to Hartford Speedway in Michigan tonight with ASCT steel block series 17cars. 4th quick overall ran 2nd in the heat waiting for redraw.

We took Landon to Owosso Speedway yesterday for The RaceFor A Million series, struggles getting the car to turn but finally got it headed in the right direction made the show through the B-main with a outstanding field of cars and drivers. Started 21 and was running a really good race and he felt a motor issue and shut it of before a catastrophic failure. This is just a minor set back hopefully we can get one of the motors back together in a couple weeks. Proud of the progress he keeps making, just need some more luck on our side.

Little 500 2026 has come to an end, and what a week it was. We showed good speed all week with a few little hiccups in qualifying. Started 20th and through pits stops found ourselves 2nd as we made our 1st stop and took some extra time in the pits to work on some over heating issues, stayed out of trouble and ended the race with a 12th place finish.
