Still months away, with lots of racing in the meantime to do, but make sure you're making plans to join us FRIDAY AND SATURDAY April 2nd and 3rd 2027 at Cross Roads Motorplex for The Jason Kimball Memorial 79! Holt is correct, lots going on for this event!
Although the 6th Annual Jason Kimball Memorial 79 is not until April 2nd and 3rd 2027, I just want to let you know we are steadily working behind the scenes to make the 6th Annual JK79 the best one yet!
Additions so far for 2027 include:
1. JK79 Lap Leader Extravaganza:
We're bringing back the previously sold out JK79 Lap Leader Extravaganza ($50 per lap to the lap leaders and $3,950 going back to the lap leader sponsors. Get your lap today from the top of The Jason Kimball Memorial 79 page.) This sold out in 2025 and was not done in 2026. It will sell out again for 2027! If you sponsor a lap, you have a chance of Winning Money, a Trophy Check, The Lap Leader Sponsor Sign, The Starting Lineup Sign, and a 6th Annual JK79 Checkered Flag!
2. The Rookie of the Year at the JK79:
$579 to the highest Finisher of the A-Main to someone who's never previously attempted a JK79.
3. The Grit and Glory Award:
$579 to the highest finisher of the 41 drivers who have attempted, but have never made an A-Main at the JK79. Regardless of A, B, C, or D Mains. One of these 41 drivers will win $579, regardless if none of them make the A-Main! (THIS is one of my favorite awards as it showcases what I like most about Jason's race, Jason's race is for everyone, not just the "big dog big budget" teams!)
4. The Kimball Bonus.
For those that believe they have what it takes to become Champion of the 6th Annual JK79, they simply pay an additional $100 towards their entry. These drivers are betting on themselves. If one of these drivers wins, they win the entire amount of $100 extra Kimball Bonus entries. For example, if 40 drivers sign up for The Kimball Bonus, and one of those drivers wins, they walk out with an additional $4,000! If one of those drivers does not win, that $4,000 will be passed back in $50 increments starting with the last place driver in the last main, D-Main for example, and continues to pass up $50 each position until the $4,000 is gone! So yes, even the last place finisher in the first Consi has a chance to win money!
5. AWARDS, AWARDS, AND EVEN MORE AWARDS! REGARDLESS OF HOW DEEP YOU ARE IN THE ALPHABET SOUP, THERE'S AWARDS! If you've ever been to a JK79, you know there's tons of awards. Well, in 2027, there's even more!
Some of what's Staying:
Still a $79 Entry Fee!
EVERY POSITION PAYS!
P30 still pays at least $79!
Purchase at track tires!
$5,579 To Win!
Same Race Format!
Same Qualifying Format!
Same Alphabet Soup, but with the ADDITION of The D-Main!
Awards, Awards, and more Awards. Awards cannot be stated enough!
Cross Roads Motorplex in Jasper, Florida
Florida Karting Series
Each year the entries have grown, with The 5th Annual JK79 having 71 entries with 31 starting in the C-Main! We are expecting even more in 2027 and are looking forward to having a FULL D-Main!
Without a doubt this will be the BIGGEST JK79 yet! LOTS going on behind the scenes to insure it's HUGE!
Towards the end of November we will begin to release more information, just wanted to get this out there so you can put it on your calendars, get work off, and plan accordingly!
Make plans to be with us FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, April 2nd and 3rd 2027 for The 6th Annual Jason Kimball Memorial 79! Get that leave form submitted for work, doctors note for the kids, doctors note for you, or just call in sick Friday morning......I don't care how you do it, just be there.
Really looking forward to 2027,
Justin Holt
