This week we heard about the fantastic Campfire Samish camp experience for PNW local youth. Marcus described the 42 acre camp setting on Samish Island with perfect beachfront on Padilla Bay. What a terrific summer experience for over 1,000 kids. In addition, a staff of 50 “developing leaders” expand their skills as they lead the activities.

This includes their outreach at the Skagit County Fair this weekend.

The 23rd Skagit Children’s museum annual charity auction and dessert dash will be held October 16, 2026. Sign up now for this ticketed event!

First day of the Skagit County Fair was a blast! Something for everybody until Sunday closing at 9:00.
Kids will love the rides, animals, birds, dogs, crafts and especially the fair food at the Mount Vernon fairgrounds.
The 4-H contributions and special competitions are going on throughout the days.
