Get it here first: Vortex generators on the roof test. Should you go out and buy some?

Test runs are done on the VG's take a guess on the downforce increase or loss on the Corvette and e36...So, two guesses....

Do VGs on a wing actually make more downforce, or are you just driving around looking like a goober?

We’re testing them on both our BMW E36 and Corvette models to answer another question:
Does a car with a sharp rear window benefit more from VGs, or can a smoother rear window benefit too?

BONUS TEST: On airplanes, you normally see vortex generators toward the front of the surface—not hanging out at the very back.
So what happens if we move them forward on the roof? will it give the vortex more time to form and work better?
Let’s see what the numbers say.
