We hope you're enjoying it.

Labor Day weekend is a good reminder to slow down for a minute and appreciate the people who work hard every day to keep our families, businesses, and communities moving.

So before the weekend comes to an end, tell us:

SHOP TALK SATURDAY -

30 days ago, we decided to get back in the saddle on Facebook.

And what better weekend to look back at the last 30 days than Labor Day weekend?

Labor Day is a time to recognize the people who work hard, keep businesses moving, take care of customers, and keep communities going.

And around here… we know a little something about that.

Over the last 30 days, we've:

-Shared what actually happens behind the garage doors
-Made you laugh a little
-Showed you some of the vehicles we've worked on
-Let you get to know the people behind Meiers Motors
-Shared some of the ways we support our community
-And apparently reminded some of you that we're still here!

We've had fun getting back into the swing of things, and we're grateful for everyone who's been liking, commenting, sharing, or simply following along.

Maybe we're not where we want to be yet. But we're moving.

Just like anything worth doing, you've got to keep showing up and putting in the work.

So here's to the people who work hard, the businesses that keep showing up, and the customers who make it all worthwhile.

FUN FACT FRIDAY -

Your car doesn't actually know it's Friday.

But we do.

And this Friday is a little different…

It's Labor Day weekend!

Which means all across Wisconsin, vehicles are getting loaded up and headed somewhere:

🏕️ Camping
🌊 The lake
🛶 The cabin
🎡 A family adventure
🏈 A weekend of football
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Or maybe just a much-needed visit with family

Wisconsin has no shortage of places to escape to for a long weekend.

So here's today's VERY important question:

TRUE STORY THURSDAY -

Today is World Beard Day, so naturally we had to address an important issue here at Meiers Motors…

The struggle is REAL.

We have two technicians.
Both rocking the same circle beard.

But apparently, facial hair does NOT believe in equal opportunity.

Matt: Full circle beard + the beginnings of a 5 o’clock shadow on the cheeks. Basically, the man won the facial-hair lottery.

Lucas: Circle beard + cheeks that said, “Yeah… we're gonna sit this one out.”

Lucas has been trying to convince his facial hair to cooperate for years.

It has yet to reach an agreement.

Meanwhile, Matt's beard seems to be expanding its territory on a daily basis.

So here at Meiers Motors, we may not be able to explain why two guys can have the same style of beard but completely different results…

But we CAN confirm:

Some things just don't grow evenly.

Beard? Patchy.
Beard? Full.
Vehicle repair? We prefer those to be a little more predictable.

Shop Talk Saturday -

What do you do when the parking lot needs a little yard work?

Normally, you’d find Jessie out there with the w**d eater because, believe it or not, she actually enjoys doing the yard work and being outside.

But last week, Jessie hurt her foot and wasn't exactly in a position to hobble around the parking lot…

So Lucas and Matt(not pictured) got recruited for yard duty.

Around here, being family-owned means everybody pitches in and does whatever needs to be done.

Even if that means trading the shop tools for a w**d eater and manually pulling w**ds every once in a while!

And don't worry, Jessie was still giving directions from a safe distance.

But we do!

And since the Packers are playing the Cardinals tonight at 7 PM, we figured it was a pretty good day for a VERY Wisconsin Fun Fact:

The first Cheesehead hat was made right here in Milwaukee in 1987.

And somehow, we decided wearing a giant piece of cheese on our heads was completely normal.

Honestly…

Wisconsin, we wouldn't have it any other way. 💚💛

So before everyone heads home to watch the game tonight, we need to know:
