Looking at the shop when things finally get quiet, I wish people could see everything that goes into a day here. ❤️
We spend our days trying to help everyone who comes through those doors. Trying to find answers, fix problems, get somebody back to work, get a family their vehicle back, and figure out what to do when a repair turns into more than anyone expected.
And sometimes, all of that weighs heavy.
Because we know not having a car sucks. We know you’re asking for rides, rearranging your days, wondering how you’re getting your kids where they need to go. We know an unexpected repair bill can mean having to figure out which other expense can wait. With everything being as expensive as it is, we understand why people are stressed before they even pick up the phone.
Those conversations stay with me. When someone tells me they need their vehicle to keep their job, or they’re trying to figure out how to afford a repair, I don’t just hang up and forget about it. I want to find a way to help. I want to have an answer. One of the hardest parts of this business is wanting to make everything okay for everyone and knowing I can’t always do that as quickly or as easily as they need me to.
There’s a lot weighing on our technicians, too. Every vehicle they’re working on belongs to someone who needs it. They’re trying to work through difficult problems, be thorough, and get repairs done while knowing there are more people waiting. Sometimes finding the problem takes longer than fixing it. Sometimes a part doesn’t work out. Sometimes you get far enough into a job to find something you couldn’t see before.
They feel that pressure. I see how hard they work, and I appreciate them more than I probably say out loud.
And while all of that is happening, we’re also running the business itself. Answering phones, ordering parts, writing estimates, keeping customers updated, managing the schedule, paying bills, and making sure we can keep the doors open and take care of the people who work here. Some days it feels like ten things need our attention at the exact same time.
I’m sharing this because this little shop means so much to us, and so do the people who trust us with their vehicles. We take that responsibility seriously. We’re human, and we don’t always have an immediate answer, but we care about getting you one.
To everyone who has been patient while I’ve been busy, given us time to work through a problem, or shown our crew a little kindness on a hard day: thank you. You may not realize how much that helps.
Thank you for the business, the recommendations, and the trust you put in HDSERVICES.We’re tired at the end of these busy days, but we’re grateful. There are real people putting a whole lot of heart into this place. ❤️
