When and How to: Check and Change Spark Plugs

Check and/or change your park plugs every 50-60K miles. This is how you can change your spark plugs:

1. Locate where the coil pack is and then remove
2. Remove spark plugs which are located in cylinders
3. Install new spark plugs
4. Replace coil pack if necessary then reinstall

Happy Friday! Just wanted to inform everyone about our courtesy inspection that is perfmorned on every vehicle that comes to us for service. The inspection consists of checking wiper blade quality, all exterior lights, air filter quality, washer fluid level, oil level and condition, power steering fluid, brake fluid, and transmission fluid level and quality, coolant hoses, coolant level and quality, and quality of belts. Our inspection also includes checking tire wear patterns, air pressure, and tread depth.

When and How to: Check/Change Your Oil:

You should check your oil at least once a month and if you know your vehicle burns more oil, you should check more frequently. Your oil should be changed every 3K, 5K, or 10K miles depending on the type of oil your vehicle uses. To change your oil you'll need to locate your oil cap, filter, and drain plug. Then you'll take the cap off and put a drain pan under the oil pan then remove plug. Let all oil drain and put plug back in. Remove oil filter, put new oil filter on, and then put new oil in. Be sure to put the proper amount of oil in! After filling put the oil cap back on and start the vehicle and let it run for 10-30 seconds, shut vehicle off then check oil level on dip stick. When and How To: Check Air Filters

You should check your air filters every 30K-50K miles. This can vary depending on where you live and the type of roads you drive on i.e. if you drive on a dirt road daily you should check closer to every 30K miles. Every vehicles air filter is placed in a different location under the hood. Once you find the location of your air filer, remove the cover and pull the filter out to check it. Once replaced, put the cover back on and you're good to go! See below for a comparison of a clean air filter vs dirty:
