🤖 Can AI Really Diagnose Your Car?

Modern vehicles generate huge amounts of electronic data, from fault codes and sensor readings to live vehicle data and historical fault information.

AI can help workshops organize these signals, identify possible connections and determine where to investigate first. But AI isn’t a replacement for a mechanic.

Physical inspection, component testing, electrical checks and road tests are still needed to verify the actual cause before repairs are carried out. 🔧🚗

🚨 TEMPERATURE GAUGE GOING UP? DON’T JUST KEEP DRIVING!

This is something every driver should know — because what you do in the next few minutes could make the difference between a relatively simple repair and serious engine damage. 🔥🚗

🌡️ STEP 1 — WATCH FOR THE WARNING SIGNS

Temperature warning light appears?
Gauge climbing towards HOT?
Steam coming from the bonnet?

⚠️ Don’t ignore it.

🚗 STEP 2 — FIND A SAFE PLACE TO STOP

Reduce load on the engine and pull over safely as soon as possible.

If the temperature is continuing to rise or you see steam, switch off the engine.

❌ STEP 3 — DON’T IMMEDIATELY OPEN THE COOLANT CAP!

This is something many drivers don’t know.

The cooling system may be extremely hot and pressurised. Opening the cap while hot can release boiling coolant/steam and cause serious burns.

Allow the engine to cool first.

🔍 STEP 4 — ONCE COOL, CHECK FOR OBVIOUS SIGNS

Look underneath the vehicle and around the engine bay for:

💧 Coolant leakage
💧 Burst/leaking hoses
💧 Empty or unusually low coolant reservoir

If you’re unsure — don’t start dismantling anything. Call for assistance.

🔧 STEP 5 — FIND OUT WHY IT OVERHEATED

Simply topping up coolant may NOT solve the problem.

Common causes include:

• Coolant leaks
• Radiator problems
• Faulty thermostat
• Cooling fan failure
• Water-pump problems
• Damaged hoses
• Low coolant level
• Other cooling-system or engine faults

⚠️ IMPORTANT: If the temperature rises again after restarting, don’t continue driving the car just to reach the workshop. Arrange assistance/towing instead.

💡 GOLD AUTOWORKS TIP

Your temperature gauge isn’t there for decoration.

If your car is telling you something is wrong, listen to it early.

A cooling-system problem caught early can sometimes be relatively straightforward. Continue driving an overheating engine and you risk turning it into a much bigger repair.

A new week, a fresh start! Wishing all our Gold followers a positive and productive Monday ahead💪!

⚠️ Mercedes GLC 250 – Engine Fault Light Appeared

Our customer contacted us after the engine warning light came on. Our technicians carried out a diagnostic scan and one of the faults detected was:

🔧 Fault Code P06DA00
Engine oil-pump valve actuation – electrical fault / open circuit

What does this mean🤔?

The ECU has detected an electrical problem in the control circuit for the engine oil-pump regulating valve. This can be related to the valve/solenoid itself, its wiring, connector, or associated electrical circuit.

The good news for our customer is that a fault code like this does not automatically mean the engine or entire oil pump needs to be replaced👍

🔍 Our next step is proper troubleshooting — not guesswork.

Our technicians will inspect the relevant wiring and connectors, test the oil-pump control valve/solenoid and related circuit, and confirm the actual failed component before recommending the necessary repair.

After rectification, we’ll clear the stored fault, re-scan the vehicle and carry out testing to confirm the fault does not return before handing the car back to our customer🚗✅

💡 ENGINE LIGHT ON? DON’T PANIC — BUT DON’T IGNORE IT.

A check-engine light can be caused by many different issues:

🔸 Sensors
🔸 Ignition coils & spark plugs
🔸 Fuel injection/fuel-system faults
🔸 Intake or vacuum leaks
🔸 Emission-control components
🔸 Turbo/boost issues
🔸 Wiring & electrical faults
🔸 Cooling-system faults
🔸 Oil-control related faults

That’s why we always believe in:

DIAGNOSE FIRST ➡️ CONFIRM THE CAUSE ➡️ REPAIR WHAT’S NECESSARY
