New Volvo Trucks Service Location is now open!

Earlier this month our service agent in Tauranga, Truckstops, moved into their new state-of-the-art workshop facilities at Tauriko Business Hub.

The opening was celebrated by customers from throughout the Bay of Plenty region, along with the Volvo team, who were treated to a mouth-watering BBQ from Rolling Coal.

This new workshop is located at 160 Kaweroa Drive, Tauriko, and has four new workshop bays and two service pits, offering Volvo customers a full range of aftermarket support services including warranty, repairs and new COF capability in-house.

There is comprehensive after-hours support available to all of our Volvo Trucks customers as well as a well-stocked driver's lounge and secure yard.

New generation of heavy duty Volvo electric is here with improved performance, flexibility and range.

Volvo is pushing the boundaries in transport electrification with the launch of a new range of heavy-duty Volvo FH, FM and FMX Electric trucks that has major improvements in flexibility and productivity.

The annual Gore Truck Show is a highlight of Southland winter events. As part of the Tussock Music Festival, the show sees the transport industry and community come together with a field display and parade of big rigs.

Volvo Trucks, old and new, were part of the show, but it was Chris Sutherland of Open Country who took home the Best Volvo trophy for his 2023 Volvo FM 540 Series 4 8X4R.

Open Country are the second largest supplier of whole milk powder in the world! With a plant based in Gore, Volvo Trucks are proud to be a part of the logistics of this NZ owned and operated company.

The Volvo FM is one of NZ's most popular trucks and a proven bulk liquid carrier.

The FH Heavy Electric Truck is on display at Fieldays with the TDX Ltd team who are also showcasing the Volvo Machinery all-electric solutions.

Handling the heaviest of loads - over the decades.

Great to see the Smith Crane & Construction Ltd's 2013 Volvo FH16 700 featured by New Zealand Trucking magazine, while en route from Ōtaki to the Port of Auckland driven by John Tavendale. Towing a 400-tonne crawler crane almost the length of the North Island easily demonstrates the quality and reliability of Volvo for heavy assignments, representing great value and return on investment.

New Volvo Trucks showroom and service centre officially opens in Hamilton.

Sime Motors has officially opened a new Truckstops truck service centre and Volvo showroom at the Ruakura Superhub in Hamilton, strengthening its national network to support heavy transport operators.

The new Hamilton facility is three times larger than the former Quentin Drive site and includes additional service bays and COF lanes to increase capacity and improve turnaround times. It's only 600 metres from State Highway 1, making it easier to get trucks in and back on the road.

The official opening included a formal karakia blessing led by mana whenua and was attended industry leaders and VIPs including Volvo Group Australia President Martin Merrick and Sime Darby Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer ‘Dato Jeffri Davidson. Special thanks to Tainui Group Holdings.
