Our Hino is a favourite with heavy-duty truck drivers.

Engineered with a lighter 6-rod suspension and reduced axle weight, the new Hino 700 extends payload capacity. The 6-rod bogie provides an outstanding double-drive suspension system with cross locks on both front and rear axles for improved off-road performance.

The Hino 700 6x4 tipper unit with a Cambridge Welding body was handed over by our Waikato Sales Manager, John Te Rangi (JT), joining the fleet alongside with two recently purchased 8x4 tippers.

Meet Sandy Abbot, Hino Sales Account Manager for Manawatu.

Sandy's transport roots trace back to his great-grandfather's pioneering of freight transport in Opotiki – his family have long been associated with, what was, the Opotiki Transport Company. After serving as an Army driver, Sandy ventured overseas before returning to the Manawatu. He sees Hino as "terrific and reliable trucks" and most enjoys the opportunity to connect with truck operators and introduce them to the merits of Hino's range.

Residing at the beach with his wife, Ursula and Sir Fred the tabby cat, Sandy enjoys a tranquil life, loves motorsports, footy, and beachside 'pottering’.
