The clock is calling. World Time Attack Challenge gets underway tomorrow at Sydney Motorsport Park, with taking his purpose-built 1100hp R32 GT-R to the limit, chasing a mid-1:30s lap in an .

For Nath, his choice of seat comes down to confidence in the protection and consistency it provides. "I trust Racetech because they’re a proven product at the highest levels of motorsport." Further adding that "there's a huge amount of experience and testing behind them... it’s not something I want to compromise on"

Safety also plays a direct role in how hard Nath can push while on track. "I’ve got a young family, so knowing I’m properly protected is really important to me." When he's racing, he can put his attention where it belongs. "When I’m strapped into the car and know the seat and safety equipment are doing their job, I can concentrate on driving rather than worrying about what might happen."

Beyond chasing lap times at WTAC, Nath wants to keep developing both the GT-R and himself as a driver, with plans for Targa events around Perth and events in Adelaide and Queensland, building experience across different tracks and conditions in his GT-R.

With the new Speedway season approaching, the Racetech Lever Latch Ratchet 5-Point Harness is built for quick, secure adjustment when you need it most. The fine-click ratchet assembly makes tensioning simple and precise, allowing drivers to achieve greater lap-belt tension and helping keep the pelvis firmly positioned in the seat through hard cornering, rapid direction changes and sudden impacts.

By minimizing movement between the driver and seat, proper belt tension helps maintain restraint geometry so the lap and shoulder belts can work together effectively under load.

Available with 2” or 3” shoulder straps, with a 3” lap strap for Speedway NZ, each harness comes supplied with snap-hooks, eye bolts and mounting instructions. SFI approved for high-intensity Speedway competition.

, and have done it again, taking their second GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup win of 2026 at the NĂĽrburgring after previously winning the 6 Hours of Paul Ricard. Starting from pole, the #7 Aston Martin controlled the three-hour race from the front, crossing the line first with Racetech seats keeping the trio secure throughout.

Two wins from the same combination of drivers and car this season, adding another standout result to an already successful year for this Racetech-equipped Aston Martin programme.

A race seat is only as effective as its installation. Long time Racetech partner Jamie Ross of spends his time helping competitors get that fitment right, considering everything from the seat’s compatibility with the car to driver position, visibility and clearance around the head and roll cage. "Once positioning is set, we work through the seat’s mounting points."

Racetech's side brackets allow adjustment of the driver's position, while the back-mounting provision on almost all new Racetech seats gives Jamie an additional safety option. "This is our preferred method of mounting a seat," he explains, as "The extra attachment point keeps the seat in place even under huge impacts and stops any flex under high G loads."

Getting that process wrong can have serious consequences. "In an impact an incorrectly mounted seat will move. Belts can loosen, FHR devices may become ineffective, and the driver may no longer be properly encapsulated within the safety of the seat." A properly fitted seat is an essential part of making the entire safety system work as intended. As Jamie puts it, "our goal is to keep the driver safe if things go wrong." And ultimately, "the best safety gear is all of it, all of the time."

The head restraint may be the first feature drivers notice in our seats, however our “square” shoulder design behind the seat serves an equally significant role in what makes Racetech’s seat geometry superior.

Maximising support for the strongest part of the upper body at shoulder level helps preserves natural torso alignment during an impact, increasing the amount of force the body can withstand. It also allows other safety systems to function correctly. When shoulders stay square and centered, harnesses maintain more consistent belt tension, staying in position over the HANS yoke under load.

Added protection brings performance benefits as well. Without robust shoulder support, drivers must brace against G-forces through corners and impacts. This expended energy results in fatigue, reduced focus and decision-making. Our squared shoulder architecture, further enhanced with our back-mounting system, keeps the driver fully supported, secure and aligned, so focus stays on the competition.

means competing at the limit and getting home safely. Every Racetech seat is handmade from decades of research, testing, and engineering to give drivers the highest chances of winning and walking away from a crash.

.7 looked set to wrap up the Sprint Cup at Queensland Raceway, carrying a 110-point advantage over heading into the decider. But a valve-train failure on Lap 32 turned the championship on its head, opening the door for Feeney to take the race win and claim his second consecutive Sprint Cup title.

It was another chapter in an increasingly competitive rivalry between two drivers now fighting at the sharp end of Supercars. Both Payne and Feeney rely on Racetech seats, providing the secure positioning, support and confidence needed when the margins between winning and losing can be decided in a single moment.

When building or racing a car, getting the seat right is fundamental to both driver safety and extracting the most from the car. It needs to keep the driver securely positioned, manage the loads of competition and provide the comfort and support needed to stay focused, whether you're chasing lap times or the chequered flag.

That’s why Racetech leaves nothing to chance. From material selection and structural design to rigorous testing, precision manufacturing and uncompromising quality control, every stage is focused on creating seats that perform when they are needed most. The result is a seat engineered without compromise, built to protect drivers and help them perform at their best.

The wasn’t just designed to meet FIA 8862-2009, it was developed alongside it as the highest advanced safety standard for professional racing seats. More than two decades of biomechanical research, crash testing, and continuous refinement have produced Racetech’s flagship competition seat, engineered to withstand impact loads exceeding 70G.

Every hand-built carbon/Kevlar shell incorporates 100+ individually placed composite reinforcements, engineered load paths, and FIA-approved energy-absorbing foam. Rather than simply resisting impact, the RT9129HR manages crash energy by distributing loads throughout the seat and chassis, reducing peak forces transferred to the driver.

Our flagship example of innovations pioneered by Racetech, its integrated structural back-mount connects the seat directly to the roll cage, making it part of the safety cell for exceptional chassis feedback, driver stability, and protection through every stint while ducted cooling keeps drivers focused and sharp in the most extreme racing environments.

From the endurance of the European Le Mans Series, to the intensity of IMSA, to the unforgiving competition of Australian Supercars, the RT9129HR is trusted at the highest levels of global motorsport. It protects drivers across Corvette, Porsche, McLaren and Aston Martin GT3 programmes, as well as Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota’s Supercars programmes. The RT9129HR has become a proven choice for drivers, teams and manufacturers competing at the front of the world’s biggest racing categories.

TA2 delivered another weekend of hard-fought, wheel-to-wheel racing at , with taking three of four race wins across the weekend, including both Saturday races and another victory on Sunday, while claimed the other Sunday win.

With close battles and constant pressure throughout the field, every driver relied on the security and support of a Racetech seat. Across the entire TA2 grid, Racetech seats kept drivers secure and supported as they pushed for every position and every chequered flag.
