The alternator on this fiat punto wasn’t charging … no prizes for why! Simple diagnosis … simple fix! It’s not always possible to “spot” a problem unlike like this crack in their alternator casing, but often we don’t need a visual clue to the problem. Feeling “tyred”? It’s a been a long day hasn’t it! We hear you - a busy Monday at Rossmoor garage … and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

This customer brought us their vehicle because it shook, and felt weird when driving. You can see the split, and bulge that was causing this problem clearly once the tyre is off. New tyre for this customer, and a job saved at its next MOT! Trust your senses, if something is off … it needs sorting!

Polish to pass! ⏩ 💡

This vehicle was in for MOT … to pass its test the headlights simply needed a polish to correct the beam pattern. We use a special paste for this, job done! Customer back on the road!

This vehicle was in for MOT … the customer was unaware of the issue as this was on the inside of the tyre! Did you know this might not be an MOT fail? Crazy isn’t it … but because the MOT test is about the minimum acceptable standard, not just what we consider an acceptable standard, cracked tyres would still “pass” as long as you cannot see the cord. We however would strongly urge the customer to change these tyres at their earliest possible opportunity, to stay safe AND legal as these cracks progress. We’ll always be transparent with the information and recommendations we make, essential works will be exactly that - what your car needs to pass. And then additional work or advice you can choose to take action or not!
