Since becoming a ADI I have been privileged to diversify my role which has taken me into LECONFIELD ARMY DEFENCE SCHOOL OF TRANSPORT during the recent Covid lockdown. I invested time and skills supporting the Ministry Of Defence to train personnel from the Army, RAF and Royal Marines to attain a category B licence. Further more I have brought learning to drive into the classroom - school/college offering education and experiences to pupils with (SEMH) at LANDMARKS & EASTWOOD GRANGE SCHOOLS. I am currently lending my knowledge, skills and experience in supporting and sponsoring 2 new PDI's in the local areas to achieve and attain their parts 1, 2 & 3 exams in qualifying themselves. 🚗💨 JUST TURNED 17… AND ALREADY A FULL LICENCE HOLDER! 🔥

Well Harry Scaysbrook… what can I say?!

We genuinely wasted no time!

You’ve only just turned 17, passed your theory test that same week, and then, in what feels like the blink of an eye, we’ve taken on 20 hours of semi-intensive lessons and got you through your first driving test at Worksop Driving Test Centre first time with me, with just 3 driving faults, what an achievement!

After plying you and your family with homework, you all got to work! And that is what I call true dedication. The effort you put in outside of our lessons, alongside the work we did together, made such a difference in getting you test-ready in such a short space of time.

You listened, you learned, you took everything on board and I barely had to tell you anything twice… especially after receiving one of the infamous ‘Gemma Stares’! 😂

And then came today… the bit that really mattered. The nerves. But you kept them at bay, stayed focused and drove the way I knew you could.

Then you pulled up at the end of your test… and it was a PASS! 🥹👏🏼

And Harry, that smile on your face when you realised you’d passed is what makes all those long hours, the homework, the graft and even the hairy moments worth it for me. ❤️

I’m genuinely so proud of you. You’ve absolutely smashed it and you should be incredibly proud of yourself too!

And Mum Laura Gopi… you can finally breathe now 😘.

Thank you for trusting me to get you through those 20 hours in the safest way. It’s been an absolute pleasure teaching you.

Although… I’m sure I’ll be inheriting your sisters next -
Lordy, help me! 🤪😂 I’ve clearly got the whole family to work through!

🚗💨 Great lesson today, Olivia!

Today we covered fuelling up, all things manoeuvres and pull-ups, plus working on correcting speed on approach to roundabouts and getting those signal timings spot on.

We also popped into the petrol station, where Olivia got the full fuelling-up education! ⛽️

We covered the different fuels, what the different additives actually mean, which one your car needs and, most importantly, DO NOT put the wrong one in! 😬💷

Because it can be a very expensive mistake!

And of course, we had the important petrol station debate…

Women apparently look at the £££ and men look at the litres! 😂😂

Vital life skills, Olivia. You’re welcome! 🤣

It’s not just about passing the test, it’s about making sure you’re confident, capable and prepared for driving independently too. 💪🏼

And honestly… you did extremely well! 👏🏼

There was a lot going on, but you handled it brilliantly and you’re really starting to bring everything together.

I’d say I had very little to nag you about today… which is slightly concerning because that’s my whole day job - nagging!

Keep smashing it, Olivia, you’re doing fab! 🚗💨
