🎊 Pass number 99 of 2026. And this one is extra special.

Congratulations Oscar, who has just passed his driving test and written himself into The Driving Instructor history in the most brilliant way possible.

Because Oscar is not just our 99th pass of the year. Oscar is the very first pupil of our instructor Mark.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Mark has gone through our training programme, learned our methods, committed to our fortnightly sessions and taken everything we believe about teaching and made it his own. And his very first pupil walked out of that test centre with a pass.

That is not a coincidence. That is what good training produces.

To Oscar, congratulations. You have no idea how significant this result is beyond your own licence. You have just proven that our system works all the way through, from instructor training to pupil result. That means everything to us.

To Mark, welcome to the board. First pupil. First pass. What a way to start. We could not be prouder. 💛

Caitlyn has passed her driving test with Alex and honestly, take a moment to think about what that actually means.

A full driving licence is not just a piece of plastic. It is the ability to get yourself to a job interview nobody else can take you to. To drive to university. To visit family whenever you want. To say yes to opportunities you would have had to say no to before.

The world just got a whole lot bigger for Caitlyn and we cannot wait to see where the road takes her.

⚡ Congratulations Alex, first time pass in just 7 lessons!

Alex plays ice hockey. If you know anything about ice hockey you will know it takes sharp reactions, fast decision making and the ability to read what is happening around you at speed. Turns out those skills translate pretty well to the road.

From the very first lesson it was clear Alex had a natural ability behind the wheel. So we did what we always do when we see that. We did not hold him back.

7 lessons from start to finish. First attempt. Passed.

Now before anyone reads this and thinks they can do it in 7 too, let me be straight with you. Alex is not the norm. This is genuinely rare. What is becoming less rare though is how often we are finding these naturally gifted drivers who progress faster than the textbook says they should.

And maybe that says something about the teaching too. Just maybe. 😄

Alex, his parents backed him brilliantly by getting him a car and making sure he was out practising between lessons too, and that combination of structured lessons and additional time behind the wheel is a recipe that works.

Alex, you were an absolute pleasure. Enjoy the freedom! 🚗💛

🎉 Congratulations Baily, and what a comeback story this one is!

Baily came to us, put in the work and went for his test. On the first attempt, the nerves got hold of him at the very first junction and that was enough. One moment, early on, when the adrenaline of test day got ahead of him.

It happens. And it does not mean anything about a person's ability.

What Baily did next is the bit worth talking about. He did not dwell on it, he did not wait months to try again, he worked through what happened with Phill, addressed it, booked a retest and was back in that test centre just 15 days later.

This time, he passed.

That turnaround takes real character. To come back that quickly, that focused, after the disappointment of a first attempt is genuinely impressive.

Baily, we are so proud of you. Properly proud. The road is yours and you have absolutely earned it. 💛🚗

🎙️ No Sunday Live tonight and I owe you all an honest explanation.

I had a rare night out last night for a stag do. A very rare night out. The kind of night out that reminds you exactly why you do not do it very often.

If you happened to see the photo of me this morning you will already know everything you need to know. The face said it all. 😂

I am sorry to anyone who tuned in or was looking forward to tonight's session. We will be back next Sunday at 8pm, fully functional, fully recovered and ready to answer every question you throw at us.
