📢 This Saturday! Don't miss it.

The Fundraising Barn Dance and BBQ in aid of Rick Grant is happening this Saturday, 20th June, from 5pm to 10:30pm at The Big Barn, Manor Farm, Oldcotes.

A brilliant evening for an incredibly important cause. Rick is fighting Motor Neurone Disease and relies on NHS breathing equipment that keeps breaking down. The funds raised this weekend will go directly towards getting Rick the reliable equipment he needs.

On the night:

🎉 HUGE congratulations to Gabby on passing her driving test!

After a disappointing first attempt, Gabby came back stronger, calmer and armed with a wealth of experience. Today, all that hard work paid off.

From the very beginning of her journey, anxiety and nerves were a huge challenge. There were times when she genuinely didn't believe passing was possible. But through determination, perseverance and her absolutely infectious energy, we worked through it together.

Lesson by lesson, her confidence grew. Her control, awareness and decision making developed massively, putting her firmly in the driving seat and ready to take on the test with confidence.

This has been an emotional journey filled with laughter, unforgettable moments and plenty of entertainment from Gabby's many personalities. Whether we were sitting at traffic lights discussing life, or trying to escape a junction without getting distracted by another random conversation, there was never a dull moment.

Seeing the nerves replaced with belief and confidence has been incredible, and I couldn't be prouder of what you've achieved today.

It's been quite the experience for us both. While I'll miss the pure therapy sessions we called driving lessons, I'm absolutely delighted to see you earn your freedom on the road.

Stay safe, enjoy every moment of your independence, and remember, you've earned this!

Stephen Reddish is absolutely on a roll right now, and it's no coincidence. The work he puts into every single lesson, the patience, the structure, the belief in his pupils, days like today are the result of all of that.

🎉 Congratulations, Graham, first time pass!

Graham has done it, passed his driving test on his very first attempt with our brilliant instructor Stephen Reddish! 🚗

There's a simple truth behind results like this one: regular lessons work.

Consistency is everything in learning to drive. When you keep momentum going, week in, week out, the skills build, the confidence grows, and when test day comes, you're ready. Not scrambling. Ready.

Stephen has put so much into Graham's journey, and it showed on the day. Absolute credit to both of them.

Graham, enjoy the freedom! The road is yours. 🙌

🏆 Proud sponsors of Worksop Town FC, and what a day to witness!

I went along to watch our boys at a tournament recently and came home with something I didn't expect to feel quite so strongly.

They came home with a trophy. Which is brilliant, obviously. 🏆

But that's not what got me.

What got me was watching the passion on that pitch. The determination. The guts. And, most importantly, the sheer enjoyment. The laughs. The camaraderie. The moments between players that remind you exactly why grassroots sport matters so much.

It took me straight back to my days as a grassroots football coach. Those hours on the touchline, those cold Saturday mornings, those kids who grew in confidence week by week, not always because they won, but because they showed up, gave everything, and belonged to something.

A huge shoutout to the coaches who make it all happen, the hours you volunteer, the effort you give, the difference you make. It doesn't go unnoticed. Keep it up. 👏
