WINCH TRIAL -13th JUNE SITE

This is a trial where participants will REALLY need to work as a TEAM!

Driver and winch person will need to communicate accordingly and clearly to work through the sections.

To participate you will need:

🔆: A full driving license

🔆: A winch Sail/blanket is required - 1 kg dry weight (if you have a rear winch and are intending to use it, you are required to have an additional winch sail/blanket for this aswell).

🔆: A Extinguisher is required -2 kg dry powder- secured to vehicle, Advisably mounted out of drivers and passengers way- the fire extinguisher should be accessible from the driver's seat, while not being near the crew's heads - and located out of the way so it could not get under the pedals.
A comprehensive bracket to secure is advised.

(There will be a select few available to purchase from SLROC, please try to source one before hand as it will be first come first serve)

🔆: Compulsory thick gloves of either non woolen/ non rubber-for example rigger gloves (There will be a select few available to purchase from SLROC, please try to source one before hand as it will be first come first serve)

🔆Tyres should not be visible from above the vehicle.
Wheel arc should cover 120° of the tyre-covered by flares or flanges

🔆: Crash helmets are optional but advised to be worn!

The above is required along side the normal requirements for a trial which are stated below.

❗️ Minimum age of a driver is 17 - MUST have a full license, With a trial experienced passenger

❗️Minimum age of a passenger is 16 (winch person)

❗️ Cost to participate includes driver and winch person

‼️YOU MUST HAVE A WINCH! ‼️

❗️Drivers MUST be accompanied by a passenger
willing to be a winch person!

❗️ You MUST have suitable vehicle recovery points needed (front and rear)

❗️ Vehicles have to pass scrutineering. (9 am - 10 am)

‼️ You MUST be a member AND additionally have a RS CLUBMAN license gained through MSUK, to take part in trial.

📣Some Information 📣

Regrettably we will not be at Suffolk Show this year, but are hoping normal service can be resumed next year!
We are looking forward to raising lots for our charities Suffolk Owl Sanctuary and Cancer Support Suffolk this year and giving all our passengers a safe and very enjoyable ride starting with our first show of the season at Heveningham Hall at the end of June, where we hope to have the Seesaw in action!

Following on from Saturdays maintenance day.. we had a GREAT driving day today! Many people trying out all the NEW holes 👀😏 SO much excitement…even a few trucks fainted at the sight of them! 👀🫢

Saturdays maintenance day!
A massive thank you to East Anglia Tool & Plant Hire LTD and Scrivens Construction Ltd for taking the time to come along and dig us some new interesting holes and compacting other areas of the course 😁 The time and effort is very much appreciated!
And a HUGE THANK YOU to those (sadly only a few) members who came along and helped give the course and clubhouse the TLC it needed! Benches painted, fence painted, clubhouse and more scrubbed clean inside-out- and ontop! all grass cut and strimmed, entrance track cleared and made tidy and ALL of the course foliage has had a good trim ✂️ aswell as ropes and posts put back in there places!
We really couldn’t of done it without the help 🫶🏻

🔆- SATURDAY- DRIVING DAY. Please arrive at 9am to ensure your vehicle has passed scrutineering for entry of the course. Course opens at 10am for free flow driving of the courses and closes at 4pm with an interval for lunch around midday! ❗️Please be aware some marshals will be setting up sections of the course for Sundays trial❗️

🔆-SUNDAY-TYRO TRIAL. Suitable for any Land Rover, experienced or not (13+) Please arrive at 9am to ensure your vehicle has passed scrutineering for entry of the course. Course opens at 10am for vehicles to compete through sections in the trial and closes at 4pm with an interval for lunch around midday!
