It’s time to check your ‘nuts’ are in place !!
Having removed years of old grease, dirt and underseal I found that the large nut that holds the top fulcrum to the wishbone was completely missing !!

Just because your Classic American Vehicle may not need an MOT, regular maintenance and inspections is vital.
Today I replaced both these rear leaf spring to axle shackle brackets that had corroded right through and snapped !!
The only thing left hold the axle in was the shock absorbers !!
Here at N’s Auto Services all Classic American Motor Vehicle maintenance is under one roof 👍🏻
