Mini Gearbox service ⚙️

We have had this Mini in with us for a Gearbox oil service. The newer Mini and BMW’s detect when the oil inside the gearbox becomes to worn and requires replacing.

If you are experiencing a “Drive train error” message or “transmission oil required” get in touch. If ignored it can lead to damage to the internal of the gearbox.

Another Fantastic 5 star Review ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Big thank you to Alex for bringing his BMW X3 into us for a complicated coolant loss that had been checked by another garage and cleared of any issues.

Using our vast experience and expert diagnostic skills we found that the head gasket was leaking coolant into the cylinders. We replaced the head gasket and returned it back to Alex fault free. With our detailed report Alex was able to claim back the whole £3000 from his finance company who at first denied all liability.

We go the extra mile in making sure our Customers are looked after and treated fairly!!

A Haldex oil change — done correctly. ⚙️

Here at David Paul of Warrington, we don’t just carry out a standard Haldex oil change — we do it the right way. During the process, it’s absolutely essential that the filter is removed and thoroughly cleaned, not just the oil replaced.

Mini Cooper in this week with an engine light on. After carrying out our diagnostics using our ISTA diagnostic machine we found we had an issue with the exhaust cam shaft. We quickly got into carrying out a timing checks and inspections on the exhaust cam shaft. We found that the pick up for the exhaust cam position had moved out of tolerance on the shaft and burst the gauze on the solenoid valve.

Luckily for our customer we have extensive knowledge and experience in these faults and these engines. Meaning our diagnosis wouldn’t be a “Guess” and would be repaired correctly and more importantly on its first visit.

One new camshaft, adjuster and actuators later and the vehicle is on its way back to our happy customer ready for the weekend!
