While carrying out the work, our technicians discovered a rather impressive collection of leaves and debris hiding under the bonnet! 🍂😂

Rather than simply putting everything back together, we made sure it was all cleared out, cleaned up and looking as it should.

🔨🚗 UMS EXPANSION – PROGRESS UPDATE! 💙❤️

Things are moving quickly at our new fleet workshop, and it’s really starting to take shape! 💪

✅ Mezzanine down!

✅ Walls knocked through to connect both units!

✅ Front offices cleared and ready for decorating!

⚡ Electrics going in as we speak!

There’s still plenty to do, but we’re getting closer to our new 8-ramp workshop with a dedicated MOT bay! 🚐🔧

🔨 KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY AT UMS! 💙❤️

Work is well underway on our new unit, and Symon — the founder of Uckfield Motor Services and still very much a hands-on owner. 💪

While plenty of people might be thinking about slowing down, Symon’s still getting stuck in and helping drive the next stage of the business forward… this time with a breaker in hand! 😂

From knocking down walls to helping shape the new space, he’s been right in the middle of the renovation work as we get our new unit ready.

With 8 new ramps, a dedicated MOT bay and space to cater for everything from small cars to Luton vans, this is a big step forward for UMS and an exciting chapter for the future of the business.

As a family business, moments like this mean a lot.
It’s not just about expanding the garage — it’s about building on the foundations that were there from the very start.

A huge thank you to Symon for all the hard work, support and for still being such a big part of UMS. 👏

🚗 BEHIND THE SCENES AT UMS – THE MOT BAY! 🔧

Another busy day at Uckfield Motor Services, and this time we’re taking you into one of the busiest areas of our workshop… the MOT bay! 👀

Did you know we carry out around 20 MOT tests every single day? That’s roughly 100 vehicles a week being checked to make sure they’re safe and roadworthy! 🚗💨

While most people only see their car being dropped off and collected, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.

🔍 Checking brakes, tyres and suspension.

💡 Inspecting lights and safety systems.

🔧 Checking steering, vehicle structure and other safety-critical components.

✅ Making sure vehicles meet the required road safety standards.

With around 40 vehicles passing through our workshop every day, MOT testing is a huge part of what we do!

Our dedicated MOT testers work tirelessly to keep things running smoothly, carrying out thorough inspections while helping get our customers safely back on the road.

Because an MOT isn’t just about getting a pass certificate — it’s about keeping you, your family and everyone else safe on the roads. 💙
