Another big step Foward at our new premises - the space for our brand new MOT bag has now been fully preserved and is ready for the equipment to be installed!

Once the installation and final preparations are complete, Donalson’s Autocentre will be able to carry out MOTs in-house, alongside our servicing and repair work.

That means a more convenient service for our customers, with everything handled under one roof by the same local team you already know and trust.

We’ll share further updates and booking information as soon as the MOT bay is ready to go.

Donaldsons Autocentre will shortly be moving into a much larger unit!

Don’t worry - we’re not going far! Our new premises is only a few doors down from our current garage, so you’ll still find the same friendly team in almost exactly the same location.

The move will give us a much larger workshop, a new showroom and customer office, greater capacity and will allow us to introduce in house MOT testing 🚗 ✅

There’s plenty happening behind the scenes as we get everything ready, and we’ll be sharing our progress over the coming days.

Donaldson’s Autocentre is looking for a 16-year-old Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our growing team, starting 1st September 2026.

You’ll earn while you learn, working alongside experienced technicians in our busy workshop, with day release to York College as part of your apprenticeship.

We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Has a great attitude and is keen to learn.
✅ Isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
✅ Is reliable, hardworking and wants to build a career in the motor trade.

In return, you’ll receive:
🔧 Full apprenticeship training.
📚 Day release to York College.
