I’m pleased to share that Barrett Driving School has received the Bronze Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

The award recognises our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans and their families.

Having signed the Armed Forces Covenant, we’ve been building on that commitment through our links with local Cadet organisations and by offering discounts on driving lessons to members of the Armed Forces community.

As a former member of the British Army, supporting those who serve, have served, and their families is something that is particularly important to me.

This Bronze Award is a recognition of that commitment, and we look forward to building on it in the future.

Congratulations to Izzy on passing her driving test today at Middlewood Test Centre with just one driving fault. The examiner said it was a really good drive and even complemented Izzy on occasion during the test.

It’s been an absolute privilege to work with Izzy and I wish her the very best with her ongoing studies.

At Barrett Driving School, signing the Armed Forces Covenant isn’t just about making a pledge. It’s about making a lasting commitment.

As a veteran owned driving school, we’re proud to support those who serve, or have served, our country. That’s why we’ll continue to offer discounted driving lesson rates to serving personnel, veterans, reservists, cadets and military families.

It’s our way of saying thank you and giving something back to the Armed Forces community.

We’re proud to stand alongside those who serve our country and the young people who develop valuable skills and confidence through the cadet forces.

Congratulations to Gabriel on passing his driving test at Middlewood Road test Centre today at the first attempt. A fantastic drive with zero driving faults. The examiner said you did a really good job and it was a tough drive. Fire engines, multiple illegal motorcycles and many other challenges. Super proud and congratulations again.

Safe driving Gabriel and I wish you well with your first solo drive.

Well, what a day! Congratulations to Peep on passing his driving test at Middlewood today. Great 1st time pass.

Peep opted for me to drive to the test centre so he could keep rested and unfortunately a car jumped a red light and struck us while we were travelling through a junction. All is being sorted insurance wise and Peep showed fantastic resilience to deliver a pass, even after being involved in an accident.

Congratulations Peep and I look forward to our motorway lesson.
