MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC – WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Thinking about learning to drive but unsure whether to choose manual or automatic lessons?

Both have their advantages, and the right choice depends on your preferences, confidence and future driving plans.

Manual Driving Lessons

Learning in a manual car gives you experience with clutch control and changing gears. Passing your test in a manual car also allows you to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.

Automatic Driving Lessons

With no clutch pedal or manual gear changes to manage, automatic lessons allow you to focus more of your attention on road awareness, planning and decision-making.

It's worth remembering that passing your driving test in an automatic car means your licence will only cover automatic vehicles.
