Huge congratulations to Daisy Shakespeare. It’s been a long time coming and I’m so overjoyed for you. This girl is amazing after weeks of sheer panic over her approaching driving test she only goes and knocks it out of the ball park with a zero minor result on her first attempt. So many congratulations to Grace. Enjoy your licence Hunni and give me a wave on the roads.

Can you remember learning to drive?

Can you remember how difficult it was?

What about learning to navigate a roundabout....remember that too?

Please please be patient with learner drivers.
Sometimes it takes them a little while to spot a safe gap at a roundabout....and when they do it often takes a lot of courage to put themselves out there. They aren’t as experienced or as skilled as you or I and their feet don’t always allow them to move off as fast as they want to.

Hossing it round at excessive speeds and beeping at them knocks their confidence....
You weren’t there, the safe gap was, so please, just ease off your gas pedal and give learners a little extra time and space.
