Due to the storm we may have to cancel lessons for tomorrow/till conditions improve. This will likely also affect tests. Your safety is paramount to us so anyone who will be affected by this we will be in touch once we assess the weather conditions in the morning.

🚗 Changes Coming to the UK Driving Test Booking System from spring 2026 🚗

Learner only test booking system:
This is to stop bots or third-party resellers booking slots. Instructors will no longer be able to book tests for pupils. When this change happens, please ask us first on dates before booking a test to check we are available.

Limits on changing your test:
You can only amend your test booking twice before needing to cancel and rebook. This is why it'll be more important than ever to take our advice on when we think you are ready to take a test. Driving instructors will also not be able to swap your tests with other students.

Restrictions on locations:
You’ll only be able to move your test to nearby centres.

These changes are aimed at tackling long wait times and ensuring that learners have access to tests.

Some of these changes may seem unfair, but they have to be done to try and deal with the backlog. It is currently around a 6 month wait when booking tests.

Any questions, do get in touch and we will do all we can to advise. At the moment all we have to go on is what has been announced.
