A customer brought their vehicle into the garage after noticing a strong smell of fuel.
Here's what we found!🚗
On inspection, we discovered that the fuel filter was leaking and had become corroded.
The customer advised that the vehicle had only ever received short services, and the fuel filter had never been changed.
As you can see from the photos, the filter was in a seriously poor condition, with significant dirt and corrosion built up over time.
⚠️ This is a perfect example of why keeping up with proper vehicle servicing is so important!!!
Regular servicing isn't just about oil and filters – it's about checking the condition of important components that can become worn, corroded or even dangerous if neglected.
A leaking fuel filter is not something to ignore. If you notice a fuel smell from your vehicle, get it checked as soon as possible.
