📢 Note to Customers

We are extremely busy at the minute and, with the July holidays fast approaching, we are now fully booked until we return from our annual leave.

As always, we will do our best to accommodate customers where possible, but there are only so many hours in the day. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to trust us with their vehicles – your support is very much appreciated.

We pride ourselves on carrying out every job to the highest standard and will continue to do so.

📅 We are now taking bookings from 13th August onwards.

🚫 Please note that our workshop will be completely closed from 28th July for two weeks while we take a well-earned family holiday.

MK8 VW Golf GTI in with us for an automatic gearbox oil and filter service.

All work was carried out using our Brain Bee AGC-8250 automatic gearbox flushing machine, which allows the gearbox to be completely flushed, replacing virtually all of the old oil for a thorough service.

We also used BG products as part of the service to help maintain smooth operation and long-term gearbox performance.

Once completed, everything was updated on the VW digital service portal to ensure the vehicle's service history remains fully up to date.

Audi S4 in for routine service work today. 🔧👌

As part of the service, we also carried out an automatic gearbox oil and filter change using our Brian Bee AGC-8250 automatic transmission flushing machine. This machine allows us to thoroughly flush the transmission system, ensuring the gearbox is properly cleaned and virtually all of the old fluid is replaced.

The engine and gearbox were also treated with premium BG products to help maintain performance, improve protection and keep everything running smoothly.

Mk8 VW Golf R in for routine service work today.

All servicing carried out using genuine parts and oils to the manufacturer's correct specification. We also used premium BG products to help keep this performance vehicle running in top condition. 👌

To maintain a complete service record, the digital service history was updated through the VW portal and recorded correctly for the customer.

📅 Booking Update 📅

We are extremely busy at present and June is nearly fully booked, with only a few slots remaining for smaller jobs. We are now taking bookings for July which is filling up.

Just a heads up regarding our July closures:

🔴 Closed Monday 13th July & Tuesday 14th July

🌴 Closed from Tuesday 28th July for 2 weeks for our annual family holiday.

I know it may seem a bit early to be talking about July, but we wanted to give everyone plenty of notice. If you have work that you'd like carried out before we go away, please don't leave it until the last minute to get booked in.

As always, we'll do our very best to accommodate everyone where possible.

We're also currently looking into a better booking system to give customers one main point of contact for bookings. As we don't currently have a full-time office person, it can be difficult keeping track of phone calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages, emails, private Facebook messages, business page messages and website bookings. Hopefully we'll have improvements in place soon.

🚗 Porsche Macan in with us for a vibration issue
Customer had already had the jeep into a Porsche dealership for diagnosis before reaching out to ourselves. Outcome from the dealership was that the jeep required a new transfer box, with a repair bill running into the thousands 💸

We carried out our own diagnostics and confirmed the vibration was coming from the transfer box. Before jumping straight into replacing expensive parts, we advised the customer to try changing the transfer box oil first. Customer gave us the go ahead 👍

After carrying out the oil change… hay ho — vibration completely gone 😎
Always worth trying the simple things first before spending thousands unnecessarily 😉💪

🚗 Audi Q7 in for automatic gearbox service

This Audi Q7 came in for a full automatic gearbox oil and filter change. Using our Brain Bee AGC-8250 automatic flushing machine, we carried out a complete gearbox flush and service to ensure the system was properly maintained.

Right folks, a bit of a rant…

I’m going to have to stop diagnosing cars over the phone.

I’m always happy to help fellow mechanics that I know where I can, but it’s becoming far too common for people to ring asking things like:
“What’s wrong with my car?”
“This warning light is on.”
“My car is making this noise.”

More often than not, I tell them what the likely issue is, only to find out they already have their own mechanic and just wanted free advice so someone else can fix it.

At the end of the day, I’m running a business — not a charity.

Phone diagnostics take up valuable time and don’t help keep my business going, so from now on all diagnostic work will need to be properly booked in.

If an appointment date doesn’t suit, no hard feelings at all.
