Remembering back to this week in 2023…I completed my first upholstery job for a client!

had been given the task of restoring the leather seats on a fabulous 1990’s BMW E36, the first car owned by

They contacted me to assist them with the repair of the damaged driver’s seat. I sourced the original grey leather from Germany, took the cover off, replaced the panel, repaired the seat foam bolster and refitted the cover. Then it was back to who did an amazing job in bringing the original leather back to life and recolouring it to match my new panel.

It was such a privilege to work on such a fantastic car and this job kick started my upholstery business!

This morning, I was down at Sandbanks, Poole, for a walk from Shore Road to Branksome Chine and back. It was windy but not too cold and whilst there was rain on the return walk, it was still great! Thanks for the cookie and drink from the takeaway shack!

What an amazing time last night, celebrating a shared birthday with my gorgeous friend Laura and her lovely girlfriends.

I’d not met any of them before but felt so welcome and I enjoyed every minute. Lots of laughter, lots of alcohol, lots of lovely food and most importantly lots of love ❤️

Off to London for the weekend to stay with the gorgeous and have some belated birthday celebrations with her friends.

I think it’s amazing that we share the same birthday and we’re the same age! I’m so lucky to have known her for over 35 years and our friendship is now the strongest it’s been even after all this time!

I had to join the ‘trip down memory lane to 2016’ trend…

- Bought my dream car - a 1973 Corvette Stingray (sold her in 2024)
- Visit to New York
- at Wembley Stadium, London
- and Chic at the Fold Festival, Fulham Palace, London

So many great memories from that year!

More New York memories… this time of Hudson Yards on the west side of Manhattan. Although the destination was the observatory at the whole area was fantastic including and the amazing which is an elevated linear park built on a former West Side Manhattan railway line.

A ‘must visit’ destination in my opinion!

2 weeks ago today, on 26/12/25, a dream came true - being very close to the wonderful Keanu Reeves! A love affair that started when I saw him in the opening titles of Point Break in 1991 and has never wavered in the 34 years since!

He was starring with Alex Winter in the Samuel Beckett play Waiting For Godot at New York. The seats were 3 rows from the stage and right in the centre…it was an amazing view and a great play! Just brilliant 🤩
